  • Patent number: 10349505
Abstract: A high-voltage supply for an x-ray emitter, in particular to provide a cathode current and a cathode voltage, has at least two electrical conductors, which are incorporated in a common insulating body. Each electrical conductor is assigned a connector element, which is configured for electrically conducting contact with a corresponding connector of the x-ray emitter. Such a high-voltage supply for supplying the cathode voltage and the cathode current is provided in an x-ray emitter. The high-voltage supply extends at least in part over an inner region of a radiation protection housing of the x-ray emitter.

  • Publication number: 20120257722
Abstract: An x-ray emitter has a rotating envelope x-ray tube that is rotatably mounted on a shaft in an emitter housing filled with a cooling and insulating agent, and a drive apparatus coupled to the rotating envelope x-ray tube by the shaft. The emitter housing is hermetically sealed and the drive apparatus includes a predetermined number of permanent magnets as well as electromagnets corresponding thereto. The permanent magnets are arranged within the emitter housing and alternate annularly around the shaft in terms of their polarity. The electromagnets are arranged on an exterior of the emitter housing and can be controlled by a control and regulating unit to produce a rotating alternating field. The x-ray emitter is suited to high rotational speeds and/or to high pressures of the cooling and insulating agent in the emitter housing.

  • Patent number: 7221736
Abstract: In an expansion device for an x-ray apparatus, in particular with a rotary piston x-ray tube with a sealed coolant and/or insulation volume under a minimum pressure and pressing with this minimum pressure against an elastic pressure element, an elastic pressure element with a linear force-displacement characteristic curve (in particular in the form of a gas pressure spring with a linear elastic characteristic curve) is provided to prevent an excessive pressure load given a temperature rise.

  • Patent number: 6993116
Abstract: In an X-ray tube having a metallic vacuum housing containing an anode and a cathode which emits an electron beam proceeding from said cathode to said anode, the metallic vacuum housing is improved by providing several notches into the surface of the metallic vacuum housing.
