Abstract: In a device for friction-driven conveyance of a card-shaped recording medium (14), such as an I.D. card, relative to an evaluation device (16) which is situated on an extended linear transport path (36) between an inlet (38) and an outlet or reversal point (40), the linear transport path (36) is bordered on the one side by a section of a closed-loop conveyor (26) and on the other side by a pressure strip (28) which runs approximately parallel to the path (36) and is stressed toward the conveyor (26) with the aid of a pressure device (52). Rollers as active transport elements are thereby eliminated, insuring error-free transport of even deformed recording media.

Abstract: Apparatus for the timed transporting of forms over the writing beam of a printing device, comprising a transporting device mounted downstream of the writing beam for causing the forms to make a timed movement of advance. At least one brake flap is biased so that a free end of the brake flap engages, in use, a form passing over the writing beam, immediately upstream of the writing or printing area. A lifting device is associated with each brake flap for lifting the brake flap away from the form during transport of the form to thereby frictionally release the form.

Abstract: An apparatus for singly conveying sheets of paper, especially currency, from a supply stack to an outlet, including a counter-rotating roller and a braking roller for separating two or more sheets which adhere to one another. Control elements delay new sheet take-up whenever adhering sheets are separated from one another, thus creating necessary space in the conveyance path.
