  • Patent number: 5396533
Abstract: A primary radiation diaphragm for a radiation apparatus has at least one diaphragm plate which is adjusted in a plane extending perpendicular relative to the central ray of radiation. Each plate is provided with a single mount which engages a guideway disposed on the wall of the housing. Preferably, four plates are arranged in two pairs, with the first pair lying in a first plane and the second pair lying in a second plane extending parallel to the first pair, each of the plates of the pair has a single mount and the pair of plates of the first pair engage the same guideway, while the pair of the second plate engage a second guideway disposed on a wall of the housing extending at right angles to the first-mentioned wall.

  • Patent number: 5373546
Abstract: A filter changer for a radiation transmitter comprises a filter which is adjusted between a first position out of the beam path of the radiation transmitter to a second position in the beam path. The changer includes guides for guiding the filter for movement along a linear path, an arm having one end engaging the filter and the other end engaging an actuating arrangement so that when the arm is rotated against a spring, the filter is moved from the first to the second position and when the arm is released from the actuating arrangement, the spring biases the arm and filter back into the first position.

  • Patent number: 4232227
Abstract: The disclosure relates to an x-ray examination apparatus comprising an examination table, a patient support platform resting on the examination table, an x-ray source, a remotely directed collimator for restricting the radiation beam according to cassette size (film format), a longitudinal transport carriage movable along the length of the patient support platform, and a cassette drawer capable of insertion in the longitudinal transport carriage, with clamping jaws for the purpose of the support-mounting of an insertable x-ray film cassette. In order to render possible a free removal of the cassette drawer during fluoroscopy, in spite of the necessary transmission of the scanned cassette dimensions for the purpose of collimator adjustment during radiography, the longitudinal transport carriage carries two sensors, coupled with one mechanical-electrical transducer each, for sensing the length and width of the x-ray film cassette clamped in the inserted cassette drawer.
