  • Publication number: 20080057207
Abstract: A coating material comprising (A) at least 50% by weight, based on the amount of nonvolatile substances in the coating material, of at least one compound (A1) and/or (A1?) containing at least two reactive groups of the formula I —X—SiR?x(OR?)3-x??(I) where R?=hydrogen, alkyl or cycloalkyl, the carbon chain being uninterrupted or interrupted by nonadjacent oxygen, sulfur or NRa groups, where Ra alkyl, cycloalkyl, aryl or aralkyl, X=linear and/or branched alkylene or cycloalkylene radical having 2 to 20 carbon atoms, R?=alkyl, cycloalkyl, aryl or aralkyl, the carbon chain being uninterrupted or interrupted by nonadjacent oxygen, sulfur or NRa groups, and x=0 to 2, (B) a catalyst for the crosslinking of the —Si(OR?)3-x units, and (C) an organic solvent or a mixture of organic solvents, the reactive groups (I) being crosslinked, in the course of curing of the coating material, such that nanoindentation testing on the cured coat results in the following properties: a. elastic volume recovery >86.5%, b.

  • Patent number: 4636225
Abstract: For drying a gaseous stream in thermally regenerable cyclically connected adsorbers wherein the gaseous stream contains components polymerizable under regeneration conditions, the bed is subdivided into several layers having different adsorbents. The first layer consists essentially of an adsorbent, e.g., zeolite type 4A, having a higher adsorption capacity for polymerizable compounds than the second layer, e.g., zeolite type 3A but with the second layer adsorbent being mechanically more stable than the first layer adsorbent.
