  • Patent number: 10760717
Abstract: A dissimilar metal connection arrangement comprising a dissimilar metal connection between a first member made of a first metal and having a first end, and a second member made of a second metal different from said first metal with regard to its metallurgical behavior, and having a second end, wherein the first end of the first member is fixedly connected to the second end of the second member. An increased lifetime of the connection is achieved by arranging a heating means at said dissimilar metal connection for controlled heating of said dissimilar metal connection.

  • Publication number: 20170314715
Abstract: Dissimilar piping joint arrangement, including a first pipe section and a second pipe section and a dissimilar piping joint between the pipe sections, the first and second consecutive pipe sections being made of first and second metallic materials respectively with different material behavior and properties. An improved lifetime and extended applicability is achieved in that said dissimilar piping joint is a coupling joint, said first pipe section made of said first metallic material is provided at one end with a first coupling made of said first metallic material, said second pipe section made of said second metallic material is provided at one end with a second coupling made of said second metallic material, and the first coupling and the second coupling are bolted together, whereby a first seal is established by direct metallic contact between the front faces of the first coupling and the second coupling.

  • Patent number: 6550249
Abstract: A condenser neck (1) comprises two level cover plates (2) and two side walls (3) located between them that are favorably shaped with respect to flow technology. The cover plates (2) and side walls (3) may be reinforced with ribs (4a,4b). A pipe (5) arranged between the cover plates (2) further reinforces the condenser neck (1). It would also be conceivable to provide openings (11) for bypass lines in the pipe (5) and/or in the side walls (3).

  • Patent number: 6360543
Abstract: A steam condenser (1) which, relative to a steam turbine (2), is arranged at equal ground level and into which turbine steam flows in the horizontal direction through the condenser neck (3) has two or more modules (4a, 4b) in which the steam condenses on cooling tubes (10). The modules (4a, 4b) are, in accordance with the invention, separated by a defined intermediate space (7). The central, mutually facing module walls (9) are supported and connected to one another by connecting parts (8). This arrangement contributes to a defined stress distribution in the central module walls (9). In a particular embodiment, bypass conduits (20), which lead the steam from the boiler directly into the steam condenser (1) while bypassing the turbine (2), are arranged in the intermediate space (7). For this purpose, the bypass conduits (20) lead to a steam introduction appliance (21), which is arranged at the condenser neck (3) at the level of the intermediate space (7).
