Patent number: 11660855Abstract: In some examples, an access point that leads into a safety zone of a roll unwinder or winder is monitored by a monitoring sensor system. The monitoring sensor system includes two scanners having respective measuring beams that pass over an angular region situated in the same plane extending in an opening. The access point is monitored in a pattern of multiple protection fields having various sizes and/or shapes. Multiple ones of the protection fields are encompassed by a next-larger and/or next-wider protection field, entirely or at least viewed in the width and toward the top. The scan images of the two scanners are checked for a breach of the relevant protection fields in differing, adjoining, or overlapping partial regions of the plane. Information about the permissibility of a determined protection field breach is derived by evaluation of breach patterns of breached protection fields obtained in the two partial regions.Type: GrantFiled: March 23, 2021Date of Patent: May 30, 2023Assignee: KOENIG & BAUER AGInventors: Harald Gretsch, Jürgen Krimmel, Manfred Maierhöfer, Günter Schulz, Senad Ugljesa

Patent number: 9457484Abstract: The invention relates to a pliers, in particular a center cutter, having two pliers limbs (6, 7) arranged to cross in a joint which forms a pivot axis (8), the two pliers limbs (6, 7) forming, on one side of the joint, interacting working regions (2, 3) that have free ends (15, 16), and the pliers limbs having gripping limbs (10, 11) on the other side of the joint. In order to improve a pliers of the kind specified at the beginning in such a way that an advantageous design structure is achieved for the greatest possible force transmission ratio, it is proposed that one of the pliers limbs (6) is formed in the shape of a U on the joint side and that the pivot axis (8) passes through the U-limb (12).Type: GrantFiled: December 6, 2010Date of Patent: October 4, 2016Assignee: Knipex-Werk C. Gustav Putsch KGInventors: Stefan Schultes, Guenter Schulz
