  • Patent number: 12243696
Abstract: A system for adjusting a length of an insulating rod of a high voltage circuit breaker includes a clutch and a fitting. The clutch includes a thread with a given thread pitch, and the fitting includes a thread with a given thread pitch formed in coordination with the thread of the clutch. The fitting is adjustably coupled with the clutch by means of the threads and the fitting is configured to be fixedly coupled with the insulating rod such that with respect to an assembled state of the system with insulating rod and with respect to a longitudinal axis the length of the insulating rod is adjustable due to rotation of the clutch relative to the fitting.

  • Publication number: 20230245846
Abstract: A high voltage circuit-breaker comprising a housing defining a volume for an insulating gas, at least two making and breaking (M&B) units arranged therein, each M&B unit comprising a first and second contact element for forming an electrically conductive connection, at least the first contact element is movable along an axially extending switching axis of the high voltage circuit-breaker, and the first contact elements of the at least two M&B units are motion-coupled; a drive device connected to the first contact element of at least one M&B unit and configured for moving the first contact element along the switching axis over a moving distance for separating conductive connections; and a gas damper connected to the first contact element of the at least one M&B unit and configured for damping movement of the first contact element with a damping force increasing in relation to the moving distance.

  • Patent number: 10535480
Abstract: A gas-insulated circuit breaker is disclosed that includes a housing defining a gas volume for a dielectric gas; a nominal contact system and an interruption contact system with a pin and a tulip that they are electrically connectable to and disconnectable from one another along an axis. The circuit breaker includes a guiding assembly including a guide sleeve and a guiding member that is coupled to the pin; and a gas damping assembly configured to damp a breaking movement of the pin by compressing the dielectric gas in an absorber volume. A movable absorption element and the absorber volume are arranged radially inward of the guide sleeve.

  • Patent number: 9263200
Abstract: An exemplary high-current switching arrangement in a generator duct arranged between a generator and a transformer is disclosed. This arrangement includes a pole frame which can be positioned on a base surface, a breaker pole of a generator circuit-breaker which is secured to the pole frame, and a drive which is secured to the pole frame. The breaker pole includes an active component arranged along an axis designed for the conduction and interruption of high currents and which incorporates a power switching point, with two axially spaced current terminals. The drive is arranged on a first of two end faces of the pole frame, and includes a linkage mechanism that transmits power from the drive to the power switching point.

  • Patent number: 8081464
Abstract: An exemplary encapsulated high-voltage switch is disclosed which contains a heat-generating current conductor, a metal encapsulation surrounding the current conductor, and a cooling element. A cooler of the cooling element is fixed on a part of the encapsulation that is embodied as a mounting plate, and has cooling ribs arranged outside the encapsulation. In a section of the cooler that is embodied as a cooling block, at least a portion of the cooling ribs is arranged parallel to the mounting plate and is held on a heat distributor fixed to the mounting plate in such a way that on both sides of the heat distributor in each case one of two groups of cooling channels arises, in which the cooling channels are in each case arranged in the manner of a sandwich. The cooling channels can, for example, be oriented in a manner inclined relative to a horizontal axis of the switch.
