  • Patent number: 5175020
Abstract: A process for depositing a layer containing boron and nitrogen on a substrate by decomposing one or more N-substituted borazoles in the presence of the substrate, in particular by a plasma CVD process.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: April 24, 1992
Date of Patent: December 29, 1992
    Assignee: Solvay Deutschland GmbH
Inventors: Guenther Doellein, Guenter Weidenbach, Hans Meyer, Udo Bringmann, Andreas Weber, Claus-Peter Klages
  • Patent number: 4665025
Abstract: Disclosed is a process for the preparation of a solution containing glucose and fructose (isoglucose) by the conversion of a glucose-containing solution on a catalyst having glucose isomerase activity and produced on the basis of a SiO.sub.2 carrier. The productivity of the catalyst may be significantly increased by the addition of SiO.sub.2 to the glucose solution, and the catalyst according to the present invention is not damaged by temporary process shutdowns.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: January 25, 1985
Date of Patent: May 12, 1987
    Assignee: Kali-Chemie Aktiengesellschaft
Inventors: Guenter Weidenbach, Dirk Bonse, Boris Meyer
  • Patent number: 4230803
Abstract: Enzymes are covalently bonded to porous inorganic supports by a process wherein maximum activity of enzyme in the water-insoluble enzyme composition is achieved with the lowest possible amount of enzyme. The process involves selecting an inorganic carrier having a most frequent pore-diameter that results in highest enzymatic activity possible per weight unit of the insoluble enzyme composition at the given enzyme concentration within the insoluble enzyme composition, and contacting the selected inorganic carrier with an enzyme solution containing an amount of enzyme which is sufficiently low so that the enzyme in the insoluble enzyme composition has a specific activity which is substantially the same as that of the enzyme in solution in the free state.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: May 31, 1978
Date of Patent: October 28, 1980
    Assignee: Kali-Chemie Aktiengesellschaft
    Inventors: Guenter Weidenbach, Dirk Bonse
  • Patent number: 4061713
Abstract: Disclosed is a method of purifying exhaust gases from an internal combustion engine operated with a substantially stoichiometric fuel-to-air mixture, the gases having an L-value of from about 0.8 to 1.2, wherein the exhaust gases are brought into contact with a catalyst comprising molybdenum, rhodium and, optionally, platinum supported on a carrier.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: August 30, 1976
Date of Patent: December 6, 1977
    Assignee: Kali-Chemie Aktiengesellschaft
Inventors: Guenter Weidenbach, Andre Lecloux, Yves Gobillon
  • Patent number: 4013587
Abstract: Disclosed is process for the preparation of alumina-containing particles, comprising the steps of (a) mixing an aluminum oxide hydrosol containing a hydrate of alumina or activated alumina and an additive component selected from a high molecular weight natural organic material which is insoluble in aqueous solution up to a temperature of 50.degree. C. and carbon with a solution of hydrolyzable base to form a mixture; (b) introducing the mixture in dispersed form into a water-immiscible liquid having a temperature of from about 60 to 100.degree. C., whereby gel particles are formed; (c) aging the gel particles in the liquid at the temperature and subsequently in an aqueous ammonia solution; (d) recovering the aged particles; and (e) calcining the recovered particles.
