  • Patent number: 7602189
Abstract: An examination platform for a magnetic resonance apparatus has a patient bed for supporting a patient, a local antenna device for acquisition of magnetic resonance signals, and a drive device arranged at the patient bed. The drive device is coupled with the local antenna device. The local antenna device thus can be moved parallel to the longitudinal axis of the patient bed independently of a movement of the patient bed. A magnetic resonance apparatus and a method for acquisition of image data of a patient employ such an examination platform.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: July 2, 2008
Date of Patent: October 13, 2009
    Assignee: Siemens Aktiengesellschaft
Inventors: Guenther Decke, Hubertus Fischer, Wilfried Schnell

  • Patent number: 5221901
Abstract: A double surface coil for a nuclear magnetic resonance apparatus as two individual coils, each individual coils being formed by two sub-coils connected in parallel. A series circuit of a capacitor and an inductor is connected in each sub-coil, with a series circuit of a capacitor and a controllable switch being connected in parallel with each inductor. By appropriate drive of switches, both individual coils, one individual coil by itself, or both individual coils in alternating operation can be activated.

  • Patent number: 5202634
Abstract: A double surface coil for a nuclear magnetic resonance apparatus has two individual coils which are connectable to a transmission/reception circuit via a matching network. The coils are connected together at a junction. Each coil has a controllable switch connected between the junction and the matching circuit. The individual surface coils can thus be controlled with a low number of controlled elements in any desired operating mode.
