Publication number: 20020014371Abstract: A tube construction wherein on at least one end there is constructed a hook for the releasable fastening to a different structural part. A holding part of the hook is inserted into the end of the tube, and the tube end and the holding part are pressed together. The hook consists thereby of two plates which are spaced apart, and between which is pivotally fastened a safety bolt provided with a hook eyelet. The safety bolt has a locking element facing its axis, and the safety bolt has on its edge face at least one shoulder laterally offset with respect to the axis, which shoulder projects beyond the plates of the hook.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 22, 2001Publication date: February 7, 2002Inventor: Guenther Krause

Publication number: 20010013446Abstract: A scaffolding frame comprising two parallel posts which are connected by two traverses arranged perpendicularly with respect to the posts. The lower traverse is removably suspended on suspension knobs on the posts. The suspension knobs have a connection which is essentially T-shaped in cross section, whereby the lower traverse has angled brackets at its ends, each of which has a recess therein, which in the upper region is the same as or insignificantly wider than the shank of the T-shaped connection, and in the lower region is the same as or insignificantly wider than the head of the T-shaped connection. The connections extend in the mounted state of the traverse through the recesses. The brackets each have on the outwardly facing surface above the recesses a flange which rests on the upper side of the free end of the suspension knob.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 25, 2001Publication date: August 16, 2001Inventor: Guenther Krause

Patent number: 6220389Abstract: The pull-out sections of folding ladders must be locked on the guiding elements pertaining thereto for ladder use and should also be easily unlocked. A locking bolt used to fix the elements can be axially and manually moved inside a guide element against an adjustment spring to engage a hollow profile section of a rung on the pull-out sections. A lockable guide element with a bayonet fitting is included on the ladder element to enable easy locking and unlocking.Type: GrantFiled: August 2, 1999Date of Patent: April 24, 2001Assignee: Krause-Werk GmbH & Co. KGInventor: Guenther Krause

Patent number: 5988318Abstract: A connection hook for scaffoldings must, on the one hand, permit a quick and secure connection of two scaffolding parts, and, on the other hand, be able to be manufactured inexpensively and durably and be connectable to scaffolding elements of very different designs. The connection hook of the invention is for this purpose designed as an extruded part, which cooperates with a part, which is always equally shaped on entirely different scaffolding elements, and thereby positively locks the part within the hook opening, and secures this positive lock through a releasable frictional interlock.Type: GrantFiled: December 30, 1996Date of Patent: November 23, 1999Assignee: Krause-Werk GmbH & Co. KGInventor: Guenther Krause

Patent number: 5924523Abstract: An adjustable ladder includes a base ladder and at least one extendable ladder movably fastened on the base ladder, the extension of which ladder can be locked by a locking bracket pivotally fastened on the extendable ladder. Locking is operated by a cable line running over guide rollers that are fixed on the base ladder. The guide rollers are arranged on the base ladder below a rung thereof and can be fastened by a first plug element serving as a mounting. The mounting can be formed of a wire or rod-shaped blank and loops around a substantial portion of the hollow section of the rung. The mounting has a bent portion extending in the direction of a rung axis and extending through a hollow tube supporting the guide roller. The bent portion is fastened to a spar of the base ladder and extends through the spar. The bent portion projects with a first end piece from an outer cheek of the spar so far that the end piece can be fixed in the direction of the rung axis.Type: GrantFiled: April 17, 1998Date of Patent: July 20, 1999Assignee: Krause-Werk GmbH & Co. Patent number: 5860489Abstract: Travelling scaffoldings must cope with manifold tasks and especially be characterized in that their resting surface must adapt to various conditions. In the disclosed scaffolding, the roller-bearing traverses (16) are subdivided into two parts and the parts (16a, 16b) are interconnected and slanted in relation to the rectangular base structure of the scaffolding, so that the widening traverses (15) allow the distance between the rollers to be increased in two mutually perpendicular directions.Type: GrantFiled: December 9, 1996Date of Patent: January 19, 1999Assignee: Krause-Werk GmbH & Co. KGInventor: Guenther Krause

Patent number: 5358069Abstract: A collapsible ladder having vertical and horizontal ladder parts has a stepboard detachably mounted on the horizontal ladder part. The stepboard has a width which is less than or equal to the separation between uprights of the horizontal ladder part and retaining members for detachably securing the stepboard to the rungs of the horizontal ladder part.Type: GrantFiled: May 5, 1993Date of Patent: October 25, 1994Assignee: Krause-Werk GmbH & Co. KGInventor: Guenther Krause
-
Patent number: 5142802Abstract: A support for an appliance, namely an iron. The support is fastened to an ironing board and includes a closed frame with a center recess. The frame is symmetrical with respect to a vertical center plane through the center of the ironing board. At least one adjustable support grid for an iron is arranged in the center recess. The frame has mounting devices thereon for mounting additional parts.Type: GrantFiled: January 24, 1991Date of Patent: September 1, 1992Assignee: Krause-Werk GmbH & Co. KGInventor: Guenther Krause

Patent number: 5074377Abstract: The invention relates to a jointed ladder comprising two ladder elements connected by a joint. According to the invention a telescopic ladder element is supported movably on each ladder element and can be locked by means of a locking mechanism in order to be able to adjust the jointed ladder to different operating heights. The jointed ladder of the invention can be utilized for all purposes.Type: GrantFiled: November 9, 1989Date of Patent: December 24, 1991Assignee: Krause-Werk GmbH & Co. KGInventor: Guenther Krause

Patent number: 4972923Abstract: Stepping platforms, like storage platforms suspendable on a ladder, are known from the state of the art. However, these are not variable in use and in particular cannot simultaneously meet both functions. The invention provides, that a suspension link is supported on one end of a plate with a peripheral edge, while a mounting element is provided on the other end, which mounting element can include two mounting plates, which are supported pivotally on the outside of the plate and include a recess into which a ladder crosspiece is receivable. The inventive ladder platform can be used as an accessory for all types of ladders.Type: GrantFiled: August 30, 1989Date of Patent: November 27, 1990Assignee: Krause-Werk GmbH & Co. Patent number: 4947960Abstract: It has been necessary up to now for connecting two ladder elements in order to construct a free-standing ladder to connect the lower ends of the ladder elements by means of a tie rod. Furthermore a reliable connection only in the area of the upper ends of the ladder elements is not possible because of the danger of damaging the sidepieces. These disadvantages are supposed to be avoided with the invention. The invention provides, that the clamping elements of a connecting element fastened on a first sidepiece are constructed like a flat contact plate inclined with respect to the longitudinal axis of the first sidepiece and connected to the connecting element and like a swivel plate pivotal about an axis arranged perpendicularly with respect to the longitudinal axis of the first sidepiece. The connecting element of the invention can be used in all types of multi-purpose ladders.Type: GrantFiled: August 30, 1989Date of Patent: August 14, 1990Assignee: Krause-Werk GmbH & Co.
