  • Patent number: 10427201
Abstract: A handheld pressing device for connecting two work pieces, in particular a pipe and a press fitting by means of a pressing process, has a pressing tool with multiple pressing jaws. The pressing tool is connected to a converter driven by an electric motor. The electric motor and the converter are partly surrounded by a housing. The pressing device has at least one data detecting element, at least one data detecting element being a camera. Furthermore, the camera is used as a data detecting element for documenting pressing processes in a method.

Date of Patent: October 1, 2019
Assignee: Novopress GmbH Pressen und Presswerkzeuge & Co. KG
Inventors: Martin Bungter, Jörg Hanisch, Günther Odenthal
  • Patent number: 9356540
Abstract: In the case of a method for automatically controlling an electrohydraulic pressing tool, in particular for producing pipe connections, to actuate the pressing tool a hydraulic piston is moved, in that fluid is pumped into a hydraulic cylinder by a hydraulic pump driven by an electric motor. When a limiting pressure in the hydraulic cylinder is reached, a pressure relief valve opens, and so the hydraulic fluid can flow into a reservoir. With the aid of a control device, a current drop at the motor is detected when the valve opens. The electric motor is switched off when the current falls by a predetermined value (?I) and/or decreases over a predetermined time period (?t) after reaching a limiting current.

  • Publication number: 20120284981
Abstract: A manual press device for connecting two work pieces by means of embossing, comprising a press tool, a converting device, and an electric motor. The electric motor is designed as a brushless electric motor, and preferably connected directly to a hydraulic pump without interconnecting a transmission.
