  • Patent number: 4197026
Abstract: A device for holding copy material in sheet-form for use with office, data, telex machines and the like, which is so constructed that a curve is formed in the supported copy sheet which extends parallel to the line direction thereof, whereby the copy sheet is sufficiently stiffened by such curve that the holding device may directly support merely a portion of the copy sheet. Preferably, the supporting surface for the sheet is formed in two sections, one of which may be a portion of the housing of the machine and the other section constructed for disposition in either an operative or a folded down position.

  • Patent number: 4044453
Abstract: A method of producing a diode matrix disposed on a plug-in circuit board, for use as a character generator, in particular for a code generator of electronic teleprinters, or for a circuit board with optionally differing line configurations, in which the entire diode matrix is fabricated, irrespective of the number of actual diodes to be ultimately employed, whereby the maximum design number of diodes to be carried by the board are mounted and operatively connected to produce a complete operative diode matrix, disposing each diode in such relation with respect to the board that at least one of the electrical leads of such diode is sufficiently exposed for possible severance thereat, and thereafter programming the matrix to the desired characters to be transmitted by rendering unrequired diodes inoperative, severing at least one lead thereof or by removal of the particular diode.

  • Patent number: 3979036
Abstract: A guiding and threading device for automatic pitch-adapted threading of data carriers such as punched tape. The device includes a base member having a tape support surface thereon, a feed wheel carried by the base member with a portion projecting above the support surface, a first pivotable member carried by the base member having a guiding surface positioned above the support surface and a second pivotable member opposed to the first pivotable member and having a guiding surface positioned above the support surface, the guide surfaces forming a tape receiving channel between the pivotable members and the support surface when the pivotable members are at an open position. The guide surface of the first pivotable member urges the tape into contact with the feed wheel when in a closed position.
