  • Patent number: 8108026
Abstract: A sandwich structure which attenuates the PET radiation minimally, is used as a support tube for the transmit antenna. In at least one embodiment, it includes a thin strong inner wall, a likewise thin and strong outer wall and an interior of the support tube which is of the honeycomb type or is made of foam material.

  • Publication number: 20100056902
Abstract: A patient positioning couch includes an illumination apparatus having at least one light source that is arranged in the patient positioning couch. The patient positioning couch is capable of being placed in an examination area of a medical device. Through the arrangement of the at least one light source of the illumination apparatus of the patient positioning couch, it is always ensured that the illumination does not lose its location relative to a patient or another object positioned on the patient positioning couch, even if the position of the patient positioning couch changes, e.g. if the patient positioning couch is moved into or out of the examination area. At the same time an especially space-saving illumination of the examination area can thus be achieved.

  • Patent number: 7501826
Abstract: A dividing wall made from at least one first wall material for delimitation of a patient positioning region from an antenna structure of a magnetic resonance tomography apparatus has at least one region at which a specific sub-structure of the antenna structure is located on the side of the dividing wall facing away from the patient positioning region, at which the dividing wall has a wall part made from a second wall material with a dielectric constant that is lower than the dielectric constant of the first wall material.

  • Patent number: 7421747
Abstract: A device to install and remove a structural component in and from a medical large device has a guide system that simplifies the difficult handling of the structural component due to the size or the weight of the structural component. The guide system has a first guide rail that can be positioned on a height-adjustable patient bed of the large device, and a guide groove which is arranged on the structural component. Additionally, another second guide rail can be attached to the medical large device, which forms an extension of the first guide rail when the patient bed is correspondingly positioned. With this device the structural component can be easily raised and lowered with the aid of the height-adjustable patient bed, and can easily be slid into and out of the large device when the first and second rails are at the same height.

  • Patent number: 6943551
Abstract: A magnetic resonance antenna has longitudinal antenna rods in a birdcage structure, and antenna ferrules connecting the longitudinal antenna rods at their ends in terms of radio-frequency. The magnetic resonance antenna has a number of radio-frequency switching elements that interrupt, in terms of radio-frequency, at least one part of the longitudinal antenna rod to detune the eigen-resonance frequency of the antenna with respect to an operating magnetic resonance frequency. For this purpose, the magnetic resonance antenna is provided with two switching lines, directed to the radio-frequency switching elements from outside of the birdcage structure, the switching lines having a ring line connected thereto running annularly on or in the birdcage structure and transverse to the longitudinal antenna rods.

  • Patent number: 6084409
Abstract: Magnetic resonance scanner has a radio-frequency system with transmission/reception antennas, and possibly a radio-frequency shield as well, and guides for a movable patient bed arranged in a basic field system and in a gradient system, with the electrical components of the radio-frequency system being embedded in a cylindrical, rigid carrier tube that penetrates the basic field system and the gradient system in the axial direction and which simultaneously serves as a carrier for the guides for the patient bed. The carrier tube is introducible as structural unit into the basic field and gradient system.
