Abstract: A method and system for providing a short message service (SMS) in a network interworking between a wireless public network and a wired/wireless private network can provide the short message service through the private network directly when a user wishes to transmit the short message service through the private network in the interworking network. The method includes a first step of setting up an identifier determining through which of the public and private networks to transmit the short message service, and a second step of retrieving the transmitted identifier of a terminal and transmitting the short message service to a corresponding network according to retrieved information. Since it is possible to selectively transmit SMS data using the public network or the private network in the interworking network, and the SMS data can be transmitted to the private network by changing the system without changing the terminal of each user, there occurs no additional expense.

Abstract: A hybrid base station transceiver has an ATM matching unit for connecting a wireless terminal to an ATM-based communication network; an IP matching unit for connecting a wireless terminal to an IP-based communication network; a channel and RF processor for performing physical connection protocol processing and RF transceiving processing with the wireless terminal; and a routing processor for determining which network to which the wireless terminal is to connect to by analyzing a signal of OSI Layer 2 or Layer 3 received from the wireless terminal and for connecting the wireless terminal to the ATM-based or IP-based communication network through the channel and RF processor according to the analysis.

Abstract: A method for operating wired and wireless phone services interconnectively, includes: receiving a subscriber registration application for wired and wireless services from an arbitrary extension subscriber; performing wired and wireless service registrations in each of the extension subscribers by endowing at least one of the wired terminals and public/private mobile communication terminals with a wired phone number in accordance with the subscriber registration application; making a call to the wired terminal corresponding to the corresponding wired phone number in the case that an arbitrary wired phone number is called, and making a call to the corresponding public/private mobile communication terminal through a mobile communication network in the case that there is the public/private mobile communication terminal to be called simultaneously interconnectively to the wired phone number; and performing a billing according to a usage of the wired and wireless services in each of the extension subscribers.

Abstract: A complex wireless service apparatus using wired and wireless communication systems and a method thereof includes, when a call of the complex wireless terminal is not reachable, a call forwarding is automatically tried through another network by making a location of a service user to be registered automatically using the complex wireless terminal, and the service user can make a speech without any disconnection using a hand off between networks for the complex wireless terminal when the user moves from one network to another network during making a call. A home location register stores a database of a mobile communication phone number for the complex wireless terminal, whether an extension is located inside or outside, a public phone number, and a wireless terminal unique number.

Abstract: A multi-sector in-building repeater, including: a master transmitting unit for receiving multi-sector signals of a carrier from a base station, mixing the multi-sector signals with different transmission intermediate frequency signals, and outputting mixed multi-sector signals to a same transmission line; a plurality of slave transmitting units for extracting sector signals assigned to the multi-sector signals from the master transmitting unit, converting extracted sector signals into high frequency signals, and transmitting converted high frequency signals through an antenna to a mobile terminal.

Abstract: A system for providing a private mobile communication service separately from a public mobile communication network and method of processing a call using the same. The system includes a mobile station for establishing a radio communication channel with a private BTS (pBTS) when it moves from a public-only cell to a public/private common cell; and establishes a traffic channel with the pBTS if an identifier is added to a dialed number, and establishes a traffic channel with a public BTS if the identifier is not added. A private communication service apparatus determines, if a traffic channel request is received from the mobile station, whether the mobile station is a subscriber to the private mobile communication service, establishing a radio communication channel if the mobile station is a subscriber, and establishing a traffic channel over a private network and a public switched telephone network.

Abstract: A public land mobile network (PLMN)/private wireless network-integrated service network and a system for the service network. The service network according to the present invention can interwork with any PLMN with no dependence on an upper system. In the present invention, there is no need for a public BSC and a separate private BSC. The novel BSC handles both public and private data and voice calls placed from or placed to a mobile station or terminal. The novel BSC enables a wireless phone or terminal to place and receive calls using either the public communications network or the private communications network. Thus, the need for a redundant private BSC is eliminated while providing the diversity of services to mobile stations.

The method includes the steps of performing a given function that effects a change in a control structure of the file system and concurrently saving data relevant to the function in a state as data for a recovery, and recovering the interrupted function by using the data saved for a recovery, to prevent the loss of file data and maintain the consistency of the file system. The device includes a flash memory to store the control structure.
