    Abstract: A spray gun adjusting device is configured to adjust a spray angle and a height of a spray gun. The spray gun adjusting device includes a laser with a spot and a scale plate. The scale plate includes an angle scale plate and a height scale plate. A distance between the laser and a center of the scale plate can be determined according to an intersection scale of the spot and the height scale plate, and an angle of the laser and the scale plate can be determined according to an intersection scale of the spot and the angle scale plate. A spray angle and a height of the spray gun are adjusted according to the intersection scales of the spot and the scale plate.

    Abstract: A method for surface treating plastic products includes providing a plastic substrate; forming a base paint layer on the plastic substrate; forming a flat paint layer on the base paint layer, the flat paint layer made of a flat paint and having an initial specular gloss at 60° geometry of about 5-10; partially masking the flat paint layer; and polishing unmasked portions of the flat paint layer to achieve a specular gloss at 60° geometry of about 80-90. A plastic product made by the present method is also described.

    Abstract: A method for making patterns on a metal article comprises providing a metal substrate having an outer surface. A light-absorbing coating is formed on selected regions of the outer surface to reduce the surface laser reflectivity of the metal substrate. The selected regions cooperatively have a shape of a desired pattern. The selected regions are treated by laser-quenching, thereby hardening the selected regions. The outer surface is sandblasted, enabling the outer surface besides the selected regions to have a greater surface roughness than the selected regions. A metal article made by the method is also provided.

    Abstract: A housing having a woven appearance includes a substrate and a plurality of groove groups formed on the surface of the substrate. The groove groups define the woven appearance and are formed by etching. The housing may be made by using a film having a lightproof areas and a light-transmissible areas, the lightproof areas defining a woven appearance. The film is placed over a metal substrate having light-sensitive materials formed thereon and radiated with light. The light passing through the light-transmissible areas of the film solidifies the light-sensitive materials. After, removing the film from the substrate and cleaning un-solidified light-sensitive materials from the substrate to expose areas corresponding to the lightproof area, and an etching process is carried out to form the woven appearance on the exposed areas.
