  • Publication number: 20240108022
Abstract: The present invention provides edible non-animal dairy substitute products comprising fibrous mycelium as protein component. The substitute products offer an even higher nutritional value compared to dairy products in terms of its high prebiotic insoluble fiber content critical for gut health. Such high fibrous ingredient is not known to be contained with such properties in dairy products. The edible non-animal dairy substitute product of the present invention is selected from products substituting milk, yoghurt, fresh cheese, whey cheese, cream cheese, medium-hard cheese, hard-cheese, and soft-mould cheese. The present invention is also concerned with methods of producing the edible non-animal dairy substitute products.

  • Patent number: 5780674
Abstract: Sulfonated phosphines of the formula ##STR1## in which R is cyclohexyl or alkyl having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, M is hydrogen, alkyl substituted ammonium, aryl substituted-ammonium, monovalent metal, or the chemical equivalent of a polyvalent metal, x is 1, 2, or 3 and n is 0 or 1. These compounds are obtained by sulfonation of the non-sulfonated parent substances with oleum or an anhydrous mixture of sulfuric acid and orthoboric acid.

  • Patent number: 5749325
Abstract: A multi-purpose restraining strap is operative both as a general purpose leash and a washing restraint for pets. The strap is made of a weather-proof and washable synthetic plastic web or cord having a releasable buckle at one end for forming a loop which may be noosed over the neck of the pet as a collar. A quick release latch hook is provided at the other end of the strap for securing the strap to another object or a support. A generally inverted V-shaped bracket is provided, which may be removably attached to the quick release latch hook and to the drain of a bath tub such that the strap may serve as a restraint to confine the pet within a bath tub for washing purposes.

  • Patent number: 5684181
Abstract: The sulfonation of arylphosphines, which contain at least one aromatic radical which can be sulfonated, is carried out with an anhydrous mixture of sulfuric acid and orthoboric acid. By choosing the appropriate reaction temperature, the process allows selective introduction of the desired number of sulfonic acid radicals into the phosphine molecule and avoids the formation of phosphine oxides. When separating the sulfonation mixture, the orthoboric acid can be separated off together with the sulfuric acid.

  • Patent number: 5451698
Abstract: The sulfonation of arylphosphines, i.e. mono-, di-, oligo- and polyphosphines, which contain at least one aromatic radical capable of being sulfonated, is carried out in the presence of a Lewis acid at 0.degree. to 80.degree. C. The process avoids side-reactions, in particular the formation of phosphine oxides. In treating the sulfonation mixture, the Lewis acid can be removed together with the sulfuric acid.
