  • Publication number: 20240050314
Abstract: A closure system is disclosed for closing a container opening. The closure system includes a stopper member, a cage member for mounting to the container, and a spring member. The stopper member has a plug portion that tightly fits into the container opening and a cover portion that abuts a boundary surface adjacent to the container opening container. The stopper member plug portion is fitted into the container opening, the stopper member cover portion abuts the boundary surface of the container, and the cage member is mounted to the container to hold the stopper member, when the closure system is in an assembled state. The cage and spring members are arranged to position the spring member between the stopper member cover portion and the cage member such that the spring member pushes the cage member away from the cover portion when the closure system is in the assembled state.

  • Publication number: 20240051719
Abstract: A closure system for closing a container opening is disclosed that includes a stopper member, a cage member for mounting to a container, a cover member reversibly mountable to the cage member, and an integrity visualization member. The stopper member has a plug portion to fit into the container opening and a cover portion to abut a boundary surface of the container opening. The plug portion of the stopper member is fitted into the opening of the container and the cage member is mounted to the container. The cage member applies a force to the cover portion to push the cover portion onto the boundary surface of the container opening. The cover member covers an aperture of the cage member when mounted to the cage member. The integrity visualization member indicates an integrity of the closure system and is positioned between the cover portion and the cage member.

  • Publication number: 20230382603
Abstract: A closure system is disclosed for closing an opening of a container. The system includes a stopper member made of an elastic material, a plug portion configured to tightly fit into the container opening and a cover portion configured to abut a boundary surface adjacent to the container opening. A cage member of the system is made of a shape-retentive material, and includes a stopper contacting section, a clipping structure and an intermediate section therebetween. The clipping structure is configured to clip in a corresponding structure of the container. The cage member is configured such that the stopper contacting section applies a pressure to the stopper member cover portion to push the stopper member cover portion onto the boundary surface of the container opening, when the stopper member plug portion is fitted into the container opening and the cage member clipping structure clips in the corresponding structure of the container.

  • Patent number: 7398585
Abstract: An internal core is separated along a horizontal plane delineated at the transition point between the tapered wall portion and the parallel wall portion of the core to divide the core into a tapered wall component part manufactured by a WEDM process to obtain the desired shape and configuration and a parallel wall component part manufactured by a right angle milling or WEDM with a right angle manufacturing process to obtain the desired shape and configuration. The tapered and parallel wall component parts are joined together to form the desired internal core.

  • Patent number: 7322083
Abstract: The specification and drawings present a new method and a system for organizing and structuring a tool room manufacturing facility for reducing lead time of manufacturing component tooling. Machine tools are grouped into work cells (also called machining lines) specific to a machining process. Each work cell can comprise: a) a number (typically more than two) of machine tools required for a specific machining operation; b) a line storage system for storing pre-fixtured and palletized work pieces; and c) a track mounted robot able to transfer the pre-fixtured and palletized work pieces between the line storage system and the machine tools. The system also comprises a centralized storage system for storing pre-manufactured standard components (work pieces), custom fixtures and pre-manufactured work pallets.

  • Patent number: 7300271
Abstract: Alignment bars are mounted to a core or cavity insert block and a portion of one end of the alignment bar projects above the plane of a molding face surface and engages with a corresponding respective mating alignment channel in the other of the core or cavity insert block when the blocks are moved into a closed operative position. A portion of the other end of the alignment bar projects below the plane of a mold base plate facing surface defining keys for insertion into pockets formed in the mold base plate of a mold base for precise fixed positioning of the insert block on the mold base plate. The other insert block is carried by a co-operating mold base and the position of the insert block is moved into alignment with the insert block mounted on the other mold base.

  • Patent number: 7286898
Abstract: The specification and drawings present a new method and a system for organizing and structuring a process of tool manufacturing with a reduced lead time. The manufacturing of the component tooling can be applied (but not be limited) to: mold tooling, injection mold tooling, diecast tooling, press tooling, etc. Several techniques or elements are methodically combined with the focus to reduce overall manufacturing time for tooling components comprising (but not be limited to) the following: a) standard parts are designed, pre-manufactured and stocked in a pre-hardened condition; b) custom 3D CAD libraries are created which represent the standard parts and only allow a tool designer to select standard parts which are held as a pre-manufactured stock; c) manufacturing fixtures are utilized which allow consistent and rapid setup of the pre-manufactured standard components for customized machining operations specific to a tool design.

  • Publication number: 20060237875
Abstract: A releasable actuator rod assembly for a moving core element in an injection mold tool in an injection molding machine has an axially elongated rod member of suitable length for extending into the injection mold tool in the injection molding machine. A T-shaped projection on one end of the rod member is received in a T-shaped slot on the moving core element. The rod member is rotatable between a locked position to engage the first end of the rod member with the moving core element and a second unlocked position to disengage the rod member from the moving core element. A pre-load detent housing retains the second end of the rod member to the actuating plate to restrain the rod member from rotating during operation to prevent disengagement between the rod member and the moving core element.
