    Abstract: An electrical connector having a housing comprising a first elongated slot and a second elongated slot for receiving a generally U-shaped latch camming slide. A first resilient latch and a second resilient latch are associated with the first and second elongated slots and, respectively, and they become deflected into the slots and when a locking insert is mounted on the housing, thereby locking the generally U-shaped latch camming slide in housing.
