  • Patent number: 9763790
Abstract: The invention relates to a shaft for a femoral neck prosthesis, which comprises an anchoring area (27, 29) which is arranged inside the femur in order to anchor the prosthesis into bone, a head area which is axially adjacent to the anchoring area (27, 29) on the proximal side, said head area comprising a device (13) which is connected to the prosthesis head (15), in addition to a distal end which is arranged opposite the head area in the axial direction of the anchoring area (27, 29). The invention is characterised in that the maximum cross-sectional dimension of the head area is at the most equal and, in particular, smaller than the maximum diameter of the anchoring area (27, 29), in such a manner that the maximum cross-sectional dimension of the shaft (11) is in the anchoring area (27, 29).

  • Patent number: 8764846
Abstract: The present invention relates to a hip prosthesis (1) comprising a femoral stem (20) that can be inserted within the medullar channel of a patient femur, the medial side (21) of said femoral stem (20) having, in the proximal portion (40), the shape of an arc, said femoral stem (20) being provided with substantially longitudinal lateral reliefs (60, 61), so that said stem (20) can be fixed to the bone tissue by pressure, and a prosthetic neck (30), provided with means for coupling with a morse cone type spherical head (31), said prosthesis (1) being characterized in that the cross section of said longitudinal reliefs (60, 61) has an apex portion (60?), having the lateral walls included within a first angle (c), and a base portion having the lateral walls included within a second angle (d), which is minor or equal to said first angle (c), and in that grooves (63) are provided between said longitudinal reliefs (60, 61), that can be homogeneously filled with spongious bone tissue.

  • Publication number: 20050076441
Abstract: The invention relates to a support apparatus for the support of a patient lying in the lateral position at the pelvis having a plurality of support rods, in particular precisely three support rods, which each have a known pre-determined length and which are attached adjustably relative to one another to a common support frame such that different spatial configurations of the probe ends of the support rods facing the patient can be set in use in order to make the spatial position of the support points at which the support rods are supported when used on the patient detectable via the free ends of the support rods opposite to the probe ends and serving as detection ends.
