  • Patent number: 11820440
Abstract: An electromechanically assisted steering system is proposed, having a worm drive which comprises a worm shaft and a worm gear, an electric motor which has a drive shaft, and a spring element. At an end assigned to the electric motor, the worm shaft has a first bearing portion which is connected to the drive shaft in a torque-transmitting manner. The worm shaft has a second bearing portion which is arranged at an end of the worm shaft remote from the first bearing portion. The spring element is connected to the first bearing portion or to the second bearing portion so as to transmit axial force in the axial direction, such that the spring element axially pretensions the worm shaft relative to the worm gear. A tolerance compensation of the worm drive in the axial direction of the worm shaft is carried out exclusively via the spring element.

  • Publication number: 20230182806
Abstract: The disclosure describes a housing cover unit for a transmission and power steering drive housing, comprising a housing cover and a control unit for regulating the position and/or speed of a power steering drive. To this end, the control unit is arranged on and attached to the housing cover. Also shown is a steering unit for a vehicle.

  • Patent number: 11338854
Abstract: A steering assist device for a motor vehicle is described, which encloses a steering-wheel-side steering shaft and a wheel-side steering shaft coupled to the latter, whereby a gear wheel coupled to a backup drive is installed on the wheel-side steering shaft. Moreover, a sensor element is integrated into the gear wheel and interacts with a second sensor counter element fixed in space over a first sensor counter element installed at the steering-wheel-side steering shaft.

  • Patent number: 10807631
Abstract: An adjustable steering column for a motor vehicle, having a console unit which is vehicle-fixed or articulated to the vehicle, a steering shaft bearing unit which is arranged in the console unit and is axially displaceable relative to the console unit, and a mechanism mounted to the console unit and provided for adjusting and fixing in place the axial length of the steering column. This mechanism, when in an open condition, enables an axial relative displacement between the console unit and the steering shaft bearing unit, and, when in a locked condition, it axially fixes the steering shaft bearing unit in place at the console unit. The steering column further has an energy absorbing unit which, in the locked condition of the mechanism for adjusting the axial length of the steering column, allows an axial displacement of the steering shaft bearing unit relative to the console unit, accompanied by an absorption of energy, the energy absorbing unit being mounted to the console unit.
