Abstract: A fastening system comprising a driver tool bit and a complementary fastener head is provided. The coupling between the driving end of the driver tool bit and the fastener head occurs via at least one protruding ledge located on the driving end, and a cavity in the fastener head shaped and sized to receive the ledge upon a rotation of the vertical Y axis (e.g. lengthwise or along a longitudinal axis) of the inserted driving end. More particularly, the cavity of the fastener incorporates an overhang which is configured to mate with the protruding ledge of the driving end of the driver tool bit, resulting in an enhanced connection during insertion or removal of the fastener from a work piece, without requiring the application of longitudinal axis pressure directed towards the work piece.
