    Abstract: An improved electrical contact member formed of an electrically conductive metal and adapted for mounting in a cavity in an insulated housing body, where said contact member is subjected to elevated temperatures sufficient to cause softening or relaxation of said metal. The improvement therein is achieved by the addition thereto of a U-shaped insert, fabricated from steel resistant to softening or relaxation at said elevated temperatures, at one end of said contact member.

    Abstract: The improved connector of this invention comprises a housing body receiving a contact member having a conductor receiving end comprised of converging arms of plates and joined by straps to define wire connecting slots into which a wire is stuffed by an insulating cover member. The cover member includes a plurality of latching tabs, which in the first two instances latch the cover member to the housing body, and in the final instance latch the cover member to the contact member by engagement with straps.

    Abstract: A connector comprises a housing body (1) receiving a contact member (6) having a conductor receiving end (7) formed with wire connecting slots (12) into which a wire (46) is stuffed by an insulating cover member (2). The exit end of the wire (46) is secured bent through ninety degrees by arms (34) extending from the housing body (1) which are also used to link releasably adjacent connectors together to form a connector strip by receipt of projections (35) on the ends of the arms (34) in eyes (40).
