Abstract: A mount for mounting a touch screen device, such as a tablet computer, to an electrical outlet includes a base for rotatably mounting the touch screen device to the electrical outlet, an electrical plug to be plugged into the electrical outlet and a USB plug to be plugged into a port of the touch screen device. A cover covers at least edges of the touch screen device and the base and the cover hide the electrical outlet. The touch screen device is therefore permanently mounted to and powered by the electrical outlet, yet rotatable into horizontal or vertical positions.

Abstract: A method of making a compact power inverter is disclosed. Steps include: providing a plurality of transistors, a main circuit board, a transformer, an input control circuit board; an output control circuit board; and optionally, casing; aligning transistors in the plurality of transistors in rows on the top side of the main circuit board; capping the rows with heat sinks; installing the main circuit board in the casing when a casing is present, preferably in a thermally coupled configuration adapted to cool at least one of the transistors in the plurality of transistors by conduction to the casing; positioning the output control circuit board and the input control circuit board vertically between rows of the plurality of transistors; and, attaching the transformer to the bottom side of the main circuit board.

Abstract: A portable jump starter includes a hand-held case with a battery for starting a vehicle; a receiving station within the case; and, a module comprising a self-contained appliance. The module includes an electrical receptacle adapted to mate with the electrical outlet. The receiving station may include splines on its bottom wall and side walls keyed to channels on the module. Retaining blocks may be used immediately adjacent the receiving station to prevent vertical movement of the module. The electrical receptacle may be recessed within a wall of the module so that the electrical outlet remains flush with the wall of the module. An adaptor may be included to connect a module to an alternate power source.
