  • Patent number: 10258540
Abstract: An adaptor intended to be mounted on a distal tip of a drug delivery device is provided. The distal tip defines an axial passageway for transfer of a product contained in the drug delivery device. The adaptor has a longitudinal axis A aligned on the axial passageway. The adaptor includes: a connection member for connecting the adaptor to a connector; an inner ring releasably engageable on the distal tip; and a compression component separate from the inner ring and configured to be unreleasably snap-fitted onto the inner ring engaged on the distal tip by proximal movement of the compression component with respect to the inner ring. The compression component is configured to exert a centripetal pressure on the inner ring so as to prevent axial movement of the inner ring with respect to the distal tip.

  • Patent number: 10159826
Abstract: The invention relates to an adaptor for a distal tip of a drug delivery device. The adaptor includes an inner ring having retaining means capable of exerting a radial inward force on said distal tip and of switching from a free configuration to a locked configuration, in which the radial inward force exerted on said conical distal tip limits the axial movement of the adaptor. The adaptor further includes compressing means movable axially with respect to said retaining means between a proximal position, in which said compressing means does not exert a centripetal pressure on said retaining means, and a distal position, in which centripetal pressure is exerted on said retaining means. The invention further relates to a drug delivery device comprising such an adaptor and to a method for mounting said adaptor on said drug delivery device.

  • Patent number: 9764097
Abstract: The present invention relates to a needle including: a needle hub having a needle with a distal tip; a ring for protecting the needle in one of a storage condition or end-of-use condition of the needle assembly; a foldable element for moving the protective ring; a biasing element for urging the foldable element from its folded configuration to an unfolded configuration; a retainer for maintaining the biasing element in an intermediate stressed state at least in the storage condition of the needle assembly; and a deactivating element for releasing said retainer at least at the end of the injection step. The invention also relates to an injection device including such a needle assembly and a container.

  • Patent number: 9486582
Abstract: The present invention relates to an injection device including a container, intended for receiving a product and provided with an injection needle and a housing receiving the container. The container is movable relative to the housing between an initial position, an insertion position, and a final position. A collapsible chamber is defined within the housing outside of the container. The chamber is collapsible with the container in the insertion position. The chamber is at least partially defined by a proximal wall and a seal element, wherein, with the container in the initial position, the proximal wall is spaced proximally from the seal element, wherein, with the container in the insertion position, the proximal wall is caused to engage the seal element, and, wherein, with the proximal wall engaging the seal element, the container is caused to move from the insertion position to the final position.

  • Patent number: 9452263
Abstract: The present invention relates to a plunger rod for an injection device, having a distal element slidingly coupled to a proximal element having at least one radially flexible branch. The plunger rod includes a lock for selectively locking the distal element and the proximal element in a plurality of relative axial positions defining a plurality of intermediate positions of the plunger rod, wherein the lock is movable from a locked state, in which the distal element and the proximal element are fixed with respect to each other in the axial direction, and an unlocked state, in which the distal element and the proximal element are displaceable in the axial direction with respect to each other, when the at least one radially flexible branch is displaced radially. The invention also relates to an injection device having such a plunger rod.
