  • Publication number: 20220072903
Abstract: A tire having a rubber tread comprises a first radially inner layer C1 and a second radially outer layer C2, the first and second layers being intended to be in contact with a ground on which they are running, in new or worn condition, in which the rubber composition of the first layer C1 comprises more than 50 phr of a copolymer of ethylene and of a 1,3-diene, a reinforcing filler and a plasticizing system, the 1,3-diene being 1,3-butadiene or isoprene and the ethylene units in the copolymer representing more than 50 mol % of all the monomer units of the copolymer.

  • Publication number: 20220073713
Abstract: A tire has a tread axially separated into at least three portions, a central portion and two lateral portions, in which the rubber composition of the lateral portions comprises more than 50 phr of a copolymer of ethylene and of a 1,3-diene, a reinforcing filler and a plasticizing system, the 1,3-diene being 1,3-butadiene or isoprene and the ethylene units in the copolymer representing more than 50 mol % of all the monomer units of said copolymer.

  • Publication number: 20220064412
Abstract: A tire comprises a rubber composition based on at least a rubber crumb, a diene elastomer, a pro-oxidant, a reinforcing filler and a crosslinking system, said rubber crumb representing 30% by mass or more of the composition, and exhibiting a ratio of the chloroform extract to the acetone extract of less than 2, the chloroform and acetone extracts being expressed as percentages by mass.

  • Publication number: 20220056251
Abstract: The invention relates to a rubber composition which comprises an elastomer which is a copolymer of ethylene and of a 1,3-diene which comprises ethylene units which represent more than 50 mol % of the monomer units of the copolymer, the 1,3-diene being 1,3-butadiene or isoprene, 35 to 100 phr of a reinforcing filler which comprises a silica, a plasticizing system comprising a hydrocarbon plasticizing resin and a hydrocarbon liquid plasticizing agent, it being understood that the total content of hydrocarbon plasticizing resin and of hydrocarbon liquid plasticizing agent is greater than 10 phr and less than or equal to 80 phr. Such a composition confers on a tread of a tire an improved performance compromise between grip, roadholding and rolling resistance.

  • Patent number: 9976014
Abstract: The invention relates to a tire sidewall, at least one portion of which has a rubber composition based on at least a diene elastomer, a crosslinking system and a reinforcing filler, wherein the content of reinforcing filler in the composition varies from 20 to 40 parts by weight per hundred parts of elastomer, phr, with a volume fraction of reinforcing filler in the composition ranging from 8.0% to 13.0%, and in that this reinforcing filler comprises predominantly a carbon black or a mixture of carbon blacks with a BET specific surface area ranging from 50 m2/g to 69 m2/g.

  • Publication number: 20160311258
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a tire including a tread that has a rubber composition based on at least an elastomer matrix, a reinforcing filler, ex-pitch carbon fibres, z being the direction normal to the surface of the tread intended to be in contact with a running surface, x and y being two directions orthogonal to z, x the circumferential direction of the tire, y the axial direction with respect to the axis of rotation of the tire, Cx, Cy and Cz being the thermal diffusivities measured at 25° C. of the tread in the cured state respectively in the directions x, y and z, which tire has Cz/Cx and Cz/Cy thermal diffusivity ratios of greater than 2. Such a tire has an improved compromise between the productivity of the curing step in the manufacture of the tire and the wear performance of the tire.
