  • Publication number: 20160177812
Abstract: A method for controlling a two-stroke internal combustion engine, the control method including: a longitudinal movement of a piston in the direction of the bottom dead centre of an engine, the movement being triggered by the expansion of burned gases in the master cylinder, during the longitudinal movement of the piston, the process includes a step of intake air pressurisation, adjustment of the pressure of the burned gases to a value lower than the intake air pressure, introduction into the cylinder of pressurised intake air, the air introduced forming a stratification layer redirecting the burned gases in the direction of the exhaust port.

  • Publication number: 20150330350
Abstract: A system for starting a piston engine, including a crankshaft configured to rotate a shaft of the piston engine, a starter, and a sequence of gimbals including at least one universal joint, the series of gimbals including an input shaft configured to be selectively rotatably connected to the starter, and an output shaft rotatably connected to the crankshaft, the sequence of gimbals carry out a transformation of instantaneous rotational velocity of the output shaft relative to the intake shaft that makes it possible to smooth out resistive torque resulting from the compressions.

  • Publication number: 20150285130
Abstract: A heat engine for driving a drive shaft, including at least a gas generator and a turbine, the gas generator supplying the turbine with engine gas and the turbine driving the engine shaft in rotation. The gas generator is a four-stroke internal combustion engine, and includes a compressor for supplying air to the internal combustion engine, the compressor being mechanically driven by the internal combustion engine, and the turbine is mechanically free relative to the internal combustion engine.
