  • Patent number: 6024678
Abstract: A device for vacuuming, which is powered by the leg exercise motion of a user, includes a pair of bellows units which are mounted on the user's feet and a tank which is mounted on the user's back. A hand-held cleaning wand is connected to the tank by a flexible hose. The user alternately compresses and releases the bellows units, overcoming an internally mounted spring, and as the bellows unit returns to its original shape, a partial vacuum is formed therein. The bellows units are connected to the tank by flexible tubes and the partial vacuum draws air into the cleaning wand, thereby vacuuming dirt and debris into the tank.

  • Patent number: 5255941
Abstract: An antifraud credit card assembly includes a card member having first and second faces and a magnetic stripe on the first face and bearing information that is presentable to a sensing machine by a person seeking to consummate a transaction. The credit card assembly further has a movable device for mechanically changing the information provided by the magnetic stripe for selectively presenting to the machine any of a plurality of messages including a single legitimate message that allows consummation of the transaction and a plurality of illegitimate messages that deny such consummation. In one example, the movable device is a slide member, and in another example, the movable device is a rotatable disc. The magnetic stripe may be removable.

  • Patent number: 3999237
Abstract: The hive comprises a central tower of any height or capacity on which are mounted as many supers or brood boxes as needed. The supers or boxes are so mounted on the tower that each one is removable separately without the need to shift or disturb adjacent boxes. The control tower is constructed to provide a bee passageway system that affords ready access directly to each super or box and includes means whereby such passageway system may be modified to produce different conditions in the different boxes or to change the number of boxes that are in communication with the system without affecting the latters functions.
