Abstract: The present invention provides a method and system for querying parameter information, and an apparatus for returning parameter information. The protocol layer that receives a query request establishes a correspondence between an acquired parameter value and a parameter name and returns the parameter value and the corresponding parameter name to the protocol layer that sends the query result. This can decrease the complexity of implementing the query mechanism. In addition, with the present invention, the MIH layer can also notify the upper layer/MIH users/NMS entity of the query result when returning the queried state information to the upper layer/MIH users/NMS entity.

Abstract: A method for power management in handover between heterogeneous networks comprising: an MIH layer obtains power information and provides it for an MIH user layer; the MIH user layer determines the handover policy according to the power information. In various embodiments of the disclosure, the MIH layer triggers an event so that the MIH user layer can obtain power information, and select a lower-layer network connection automatically according to the current power status, thus implementing handover; the MIH user layer sends a query request to the MIH layer to obtain power consumption parameters from the network, and selects a lower-layer network connection according to the power consumption and the current power status, thus implementing handover and making more accurate and effective decisions in the handover.

Abstract: A method, a system and a device for network handover are provided, which are applied to the field of communications technologies. The method includes the following steps that: a terminal first obtains information of a handover manner of handover from a virtual base station to a target base station, and then sends a corresponding message to the virtual base station according to the information of the handover manner, so as to perform network handover, so that in a procedure that the terminal is handed over from a non-WiMAX network to a WiMAX network, the terminal may be directly handed over according to the handover manner supported by the virtual base station. Compared with the conventional art in which handover manners require handover attempts, the adoption of the method for network handover reduces handover time and increases network handover efficiency.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide a method for implementing local routing of traffic, a base station and a system are provided, which relate to the field of communications technologies. The method for implementing local routing of traffic includes: judging whether local routing processing is performed on an uplink traffic flow of a first terminal that serves as a sending end; if it is judged as yes, updating a key of the uplink traffic flow of the first terminal and/or a key of a downlink traffic flow of a second terminal that serves as a receiving end to a public key; forwarding an encrypted data packet of the uplink traffic flow of the first terminal to the second terminal through the downlink traffic flow of the second terminal, where an encryption and decryption operation is not performed on the encrypted data packet before the forwarding or during the forwarding.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a handover method and a handover device. An attachment point is handed over from a service station of a first access network to a handover server of the first access network before a UE hands over from the first access network to a second access network. The handover server of the first access network is interacted with through the tunnel to enter an idle mode of the first access network after completing network access in the second access network. Attachment to a destination station of the first access network is performed to quit the idle mode and re-access the first access network when the UE hands over back to the first access network.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a processing method supporting handover, and communication apparatus, which can reduce an impact on an existing network. The method includes: A handover service function entity receives an identifier of a first AP from an MS, where the first AP is discovered in a WiFi network, and determines, according to the identifier of the first AP, an authenticator entity corresponding to the first AP corresponding to the identifier; establishes a connection with the MS; receives from the MS a probe request message for probing an AP to be associated; and returns to the MS a probe request response message that carries an identifier of an AP to be associated with the MS, so that the MS associates with the AP corresponding to the identifier of the AP to be associated, and accesses the WiFi network through the AP to be associated and the authenticator entity.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention disclose a method, an apparatus and a system for controlling access points. The method includes: receiving load information on working APs in a coverage area; judging a current overall capacity of the coverage area according to the load information; and controlling APs in the coverage area according to a judgment result. A network management server includes a first receiving module, a first judgment module, and a first control module. The system includes the network management server, working APs, and non-working APs. The embodiments of the present invention also provide another method for controlling APs, a primary working AP, and a system for controlling APs. In the embodiments of the present invention, APs in the same coverage area are automatically controlled to turn on or off according to the service traffic; resources are utilized rationally; labor costs are saved; and the work efficiency is improved.

Abstract: A method, a system, and a device for implementing device addition in a Wireless Fidelity (Wi-Fi) Device to Device (D2D) network are provided, which belong to the field of communication. The method includes: receiving, by a first D2D client device, a first add request message forwarded by a D2D master device, in which the first add request message carries an identifier of a new device to be added to the D2D network; receiving a first Personal Identification Number (PIN) code of the new device; and forwarding the received first PIN code to the D2D master device, in which the first PIN code of the new device is used for implementing that the D2D master device performs Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS) security configuration of the new device according to the first PIN code.

Abstract: A method for feeding back a link parameter configuration result includes the following steps. After receiving a configuration request for at least one link parameter from the higher layer to the lower layer, a media independent handover layer instructs the lower layer to perform link parameter configuration, and the lower layer returns the configuration result for each link parameter to the media independent handover layer after the link parameter configuration completes; the media independent layer receives the configuration result for each link parameter, and feeds back the configuration result for each link parameter to the higher layer.

Abstract: A notification method, an access point (AP), a station (STA), and a wireless system are disclosed. The notification method includes checking whether a power event occurs, and notifying the power event to an STA if the power event occurs. According to the present invention, the STA can learn about the power event, which helps the STA to decide on the subsequent action according to the power event.

Abstract: A network handover method, a communications system, and relevant devices are provided, so as to implement handover between a Wireless Fidelity (WiFi) network and a Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access (WiMAX) network. The method specifically includes the following steps. A user terminal determines a target network access point (AP) and acquires a tunnel destination address. A signaling transmission tunnel between the user terminal and the target network AP is established through a current network according to the tunnel destination address. The user terminal executes a network access operation with the target network AP through the signaling transmission tunnel. The communications system and the relevant devices are further provided. Thus, the handover between the WiFi network and the WiMAX network can be implemented.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a method of notifying an alert status. The method includes using at least two binary alert status indication fields to indicate alert status information; changing a value of the alert status indication field when alert information is changed; and periodically sending the alert status information. The alert status indication field in a interworking element of a beacon frame is extended so that the status of the emergency alert is detected, the change to the emergency alert status is reflected by the value of the extended alert status indication field, and the change to the emergency alert can be detected and handled in a timely manner.

Abstract: A method, system and apparatus for converting media contents are disclosed. The method includes these steps: a media conversion apparatus receives a media conversion service request from a media application terminal, where the media conversion service request carries a media content ID and playing capability information of the media application terminal; the media conversion apparatus sends a media content transmission request carrying the media content ID to the content source device; and the media conversion apparatus receives a media content identified by the media content ID from the content source device, converts the received media content according to the playing capability information of the media application terminal, and sends the converted media content to the media application terminal.

Abstract: A gateway system for implementing access to various media is provided in the invention, and the gateway system includes: a communication media access module, for establishing a communication link with the corresponding media access network; a Media Independent Handover Functions module, for seamless handover between accesses to various media; and a handover decision module, for selecting a target network for the seamless handover. The gateway system may also include an authentication module, for sharing the authentication information of the User Equipment. Two methods for implementing access to various media are further disclosed in the invention. By the provided gateway system and methods, the User Equipment can access various media via the gateway system, seamlessly hand over between accesses to various media and achieve the access to a service network using the shared authentication information.

Abstract: An access method of network terminals, an access system and gateway are provided. In the access method of the present invention, providing an access proxy to the service network system for a network terminal initiating an access request but not configured with the subscriber certification information to the service network system by the use of subscriber certification information to a service network system configured on a network terminal. The access system of the present invention includes a digital gateway configured with a gateway multimedia service processing module. By sharing the subscriber certification information to the service network system configured on the network terminal connected to the digital gateway, the network terminal not configured with the subscriber certification information to the service network system can realize the access certification to the service network system.
