Abstract: The present solution relates to a method in a first core network gateway (220) for providing multimedia broadcast multicast service “MBMS” in a wireless communication network (100). The network (100) comprises a broadcast multicast service center “BM-SC” (245) node which is arranged to be connected to the first core network gateway (220). The network (100) further comprises a second core network gateway (215) arranged to be connected to the first core network gateway (220). Firstly, the first core network gateway (220) receives a MBMS session request from the BM-SC node (245). Then, the first gateway (220) sends a MBMS session response to the BM-SC node (245). The MBMS session request message is then forwarded to the second core network gateway (215). Finally, the first gateway (220) receives a MBMS session response message from the second core network gateway (215). The MBMS session request and response comprises an information field adapted to MBMS.
