Abstract: A method for monitoring and controlling an environment of an indoor space within a building includes obtaining a future weather data for an area where the building is located, the building including a heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system configured to control the environment within the indoor space; receiving at least one of a current temperature and a current humidity within the indoor space; receiving at least one of a temperature range and a humidity range for the indoor space; determining an operation schedule for the HVAC system based on at least the future weather data and the at least one of the temperature range and the humidity range; and controlling operation of the HVAC system in accordance with the operation schedule.

Abstract: In a disclosed example, a computer-implemented method includes storing image data that includes an input image of a blood sample within a blood monitoring device. The method also includes generating, by a machine learning model, a segmentation mask that assigns pixels in the input image to one of a plurality of classes, which correlate to respective known biophysical properties of blood cells. The method also includes extracting cell images from the input image based on the segmentation mask, in which each extracted cell image includes a respective cluster of the pixels assigned to a respective one of the plurality of classes.

Abstract: To provide a method for disinfecting air and/or surfaces which can be carried out truly continuously, in particular for essentially 24 hours a day, with people and/or animals present, the a method for disinfecting air and/or surfaces is proposed, wherein a disinfectant is dispersed continuously into a volume and/or area to be disinfected, wherein the disinfectant comprises electrolyzed and/or sterilized water containing hypochlorous acid, and wherein the disinfectant is dispersed at a dispersion rate between 0.5 ml/m3/h and 12 ml/m3/h.

Abstract: To provide a method for disinfecting air and surfaces which provides a continuous protection of people and/or animals from pathogens a given volume, in particular for essentially 24 hours a day, and which can be conducted with people and animals present, a method for disinfecting air and surfaces is proposed, wherein a disinfectant is dispersed into a volume to be disinfected, wherein the disinfectant comprises electrolyzed and/or sterilized water containing hypochlorous acid, and wherein a dispersion rate of the disinfectant is adjusted such, that a concentration of the hypochlorous acid in the volume is continuously between 0.05 mg/m3 and 10.0 mg/m3.
