    Abstract: The present invention relates to a separation media and a method for separation of cells from different cell sources, such as umbilical cord blood, using the separation media to obtain the desired cells, such as stem cells. The separation media has beads with a diameter of 200-500 ?m and is provided with cell separation ligands. The cell specific ligands are preferably CD3 and CD19 for depletion of B and T cells and production of a stem cell rich product.
