  • Patent number: 11877129
Abstract: The invention relates to an apparatus (100) having an input (11, 12, 15, 16) and an output (13, 14, 17, 18) and having an effect device with volume-regulated audio signals from an audio file or audio source, wherein the audio signals have input levels at an input of the effect device and output levels at an output of the effect device. In order to achieve background sound which is as optimal as possible, the invention proposes that each input level is assigned to a preset output level irrespective of the content of the audio file or audio source, wherein the input level is regulated to the output level.

  • Patent number: 10998992
Abstract: A method and device for improving the sound quality of an audio file in an audio device by modifying an audio signal by means of at least one effect device. The method according to the invention includes the following method steps: a) associating the audio file with meta data; b) comparing the meta data to files in which settings of the effect device are stored; c) associating the meta data with a file from method step b), and d) loading the file from method step c) and activating the effect device, the effect device being set by means of values from the file in method step c).

  • Patent number: 9628932
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for processing a multichannel sound in a multichannel sound system, wherein the input signals L and R are decoded, preferably as stereo signals. The aim of the invention is to develop the method such that a further improvement of the spatial reproduction of the input signals L and R is achieved on the basis of an extraction of direction components. According to the invention, this is achieved in that the signals R and L are decoded at least into two signals of the form nL-mR, in which n, m=1, 2, 3, 4.

  • Patent number: 8755530
Abstract: A method for multi-channel processing in a multi-channel sound system, in which a channel or a channel mixture is first split into individual channels, the individual channels are limited by setting the values of the parameters channel fader, threshold, release, and output level and then encoding the individual channels. At least two channels are compressed and/or limited with a uniform output level value in method step, one channel is provided with a deviating output level value, which is set, depending on the audio material to be processed, and every further channel is compressed and/or limited in such a manner that it has an output level value that is at least one decibel less than the uniform output level value. The individual channels are combined into an encoded (coded) channel by setting a value of at least one of the parameters channel fader, threshold, release, and output level.
