  • Patent number: 11938077
Abstract: An apparatus for testing and exercising pelvic floor musculature, the apparatus comprising an elongate housing adapted for a pelvic floor aperture. The housing accommodates an oscillator and an accelerometer connected to a signal processor configured for communicating signals representative of values read from the accelerometer. A result is calculated from an applied oscillation and a response measured, and used for characterizing the musculature. In one embodiment the frequency resulting in the greatest response from the musculature is measured, and this frequency is applied during exercise.

  • Patent number: 6923773
Abstract: A device for vibratory stimulation on the human body comprises a support platform, a panel supported by the platform and forming a standing surface for a person using the device, and a vibrator for imparting to the panel a vibratory movement. Two standards are mounted to the platform at opposite sides of the panel, forming handles for the person standing on the standing surface between the standards to hold on. A sensor is provided for sensing the load on the panel or on the standards exerted by the person standing on the standing surface. A control unit is connected with the sensor and the vibrator for controlling the operation of the vibrator in dependence on the load sensed by the sensor.

  • Patent number: 6905471
Abstract: A method and device for training pelvic floor muscles in order to treat or prevent urinary or fecal incontinence. The device comprises a probe having a pressure sensor and a vibrator, and a microprocessor connected with the sensor and the vibrator. Initially, the probe is inserted into a person's vagina or rectum and the highest force that can be applied by the person contracting the pelvic muscles is ascertained and registered. The contraction of the pelvic floor muscles is repeated at intervals, and the force applied by pelvic floor muscles at each contraction is ascertained and compared with the registered highest value. The vibrator is activated at each contraction of the floor muscles only if the force has a predetermined relationship to the registered value, and only for a predetermined period as long as the predetermined relationship is maintained.

  • Patent number: 6059740
Abstract: A measurement and training apparatus to be inserted in the vagina or rectum for diagnostic and pelvic musculature training purposes, comprises, two axially split halves of a substantially cylindrical body, kept at an adjustable distance from each other. A strain gauge measures a force perpendicular to the axis of the apparatus. The measurement is executed in a flexural mode where a forward end of one of the halves is bent toward the other half with a small deflection.
