  • Patent number: 8875845
Abstract: A lift car securing arrangement includes a restraining arrangement having a restraint that is supported by the lift car arranged such that it can be placed into and removed from restraining interaction with an extended stationary interaction element arranged to extend along the vertical pathway of the lift car, and which restraint when placed into restraining interaction locks the lift car to the stationary interaction element, a power-interruption device that can be placed into and removed from a power-interrupting position whereby the power to a driving motor unit that is part of the lift is interrupted when the power-interruption device is placed arranged in its power-interrupting position, in which the power-interruption device is so arranged at the restraining arrangement that the said power-interruption device is located in its power-interrupting position when the restraint has been set into restraining interaction with the extended stationary interaction element.

  • Publication number: 20090159372
Abstract: The invention concerns an arrangement for securing a lift car (1) that is part of an electrically driven lift at a predetermined level for, for example, service or maintenance, and for preventing unintentional motion of the lift car secured in this manner, whereby the lift car may be of the type that is arranged with a cage or platform for the transport of persons or material.

  • Patent number: 6736242
Abstract: An arrangement for a hoist secures safety zones in case persons should be outside the hoist cage in a hoist shaft. The arrangement can identify risk situations and includes mechanical limitation devices that can enter into the path of the hoist cage. The limitation devices are arranged at a distance from the upper and lower end limits of the hoist cage during normal operation in order to form upper and lower safety end limits, thereby mechanically securing the safety zones. Striking surfaces are arranged to tilt between an inactive state outside the path of the hoist cage and an active state in the path of the hoist cage forming the safety end limits. The striking surfaces are balanced so that they strive to take their respective active states. A retaining device is arranged on each striking surface to keep the striking surfaces in an inactive state during normal operation and to release the striking surfaces in a risk situation so that it takes its respective active state.

  • Patent number: 4235305
Abstract: Rails are mounted on the wall of a domelike reactor tank along pilasters extending downwardly from the top of the dome. A carriage is drivably mounted on the rails along each pilaster. The carriages each comprise drive means, and a working and inspecting platform. The platform is pivotally mounted and means are provided to control the setting of the platform so that it is always kept horizontal, irrespective of the slope of the rails. The carriage comprises a main frame in which two sub-frames are pivotally mounted one after the other, on pivot means extending transversally of the direction of motion of the carriage. Two wheel units, or boggie frames, are pivotally mounted in each sub-frame, one on each side of said pivot means. Each boggie frame is carried by wheels engaging the rail means.
