  • Patent number: 10897094
Abstract: A clamping device (40) for providing an electrical connection between a subsea pipeline (1) and an electrical conductor (31). The device has a clamp element (41) comprising a first leg (41a) having a first leg end (41c) and a second leg (41b) having a second leg end (41d). The legs (41a, 41b) are configured to be provided on respective sides of the pipeline (1). The clamping device has a releasable tensioning device (48) connected to one of the legs (41a, 41b). The clamping device (40) has a first state, in which the ends (41c, 41d) of the first and second legs (41a, 41b) are provided at a first distance (d1) away from each other. The clamping device (40) has a second state, in which the tensioning device (48) is tensioned, causing the ends (41c, 41d) of the first and second legs (41a, 41b) to be at a second distance (d2) away from each other, the second distance (d2) being larger than the first distance (d1). The clamping device (40) has a template hole (42) provided in one of the legs (41a, 41b).

  • Patent number: 10393306
Abstract: A fatigue life extender (10) has a cylindrical body (13) having a throughgoing passage (20), arranged to be incorporated at an end of a connection device such as a clamp (11). The cylindrical body has a mouth portion (18), the interior circumference of which is lined with a ring or band (22) of resilient material such as rubber or an elastomeric compound. The ring or band (22) is crosshatched into a grid creating a plurality of rectangular segments (24) of resilient material by a plurality of perpendicular cuts extending less than completely through the thickness of the material.

  • Patent number: 10385992
Abstract: A buoyancy element has a plurality of buoyancy modules interconnected to form a buoyancy element around the electrical cable or pipeline. A first buoyancy module is provided with at least one first fastening element and a second buoyancy module is provided with at least one second fastening element. The first fastening element has a snap element that snaps onto the second fastening element when the first buoyancy module is secured to the second buoyancy module. The buoyancy module has both the first fastening element and the second fastening element, oriented such that two identical buoyancy modules may be clamped together, whereby mutually cooperating first and second fastening elements of the respective modules align in locking engagement. This reduces production costs, as only a single type of module needs to be manufactured.
