  • Patent number: 7984699
Abstract: A cooling system for an engine is divided into an inner circuit and an outer circuit, said inner circuit including a radiator, a cooling pump, a thermostat housing, an ejector pump, cooling channels arranged inside the engine and ducting connecting said components. The ejector pump is arranged to draw coolant from the outer system and deliver it to the inner system. The outer system includes an expansion tank, ducting interconnecting the expansion tank and the ejector pump and ducting interconnecting the inner circuit and the expansion tank. A one-way valve is placed in the ducting interconnecting the expansion tank and the inner circuit.

  • Patent number: 7216609
Abstract: A cooling system for an internal combustion engine mounted in a vehicle includes a first flow circuit with a pump for circulating coolant via ducts in the cylinder block of the engine and a radiator. The first flow circuit is separated from atmospheric pressure. The cooling system also includes a second flow circuit which is provided with a coolant reservoir with a normal pressure which is lower than the pressure in the first flow circuit, and a pump for circulating coolant via a pipeline between units with a cooling requirement and a second radiator. The second flow circuit is connected to the first flow circuit via a one-way valve opening in the direction of the first flow circuit.

  • Patent number: 5456218
Abstract: A combination tank for a cooling system of water-cool internal combustion engine includes a storage tank and an expansion tank. The storage and expansion tanks house in a common container tank, so that the storage tank and the expansion tank are disposed adjacent each other in a substantially horizontal plane and separated from one another by a substantially vertical partition wall. The storage tank has a filler opening. An overflow channel internally connects the storage tank and the extension tank. The overflow channel is situated within the partition wall and is integrally formed with and positioned at an upper part of the filler opening.
