  • Patent number: 7235146
Abstract: In a method for repairing electric insulation layers between sheet metal pieces of sheet metal segments of electric generators or motors, wherein between two neighboring sheet metal pieces an electric insulation is arranged, two neighboring sheet metal pieces are spread apart by introducing a tool for generating a permanent channel-shaped intermediate space between the two neighboring sheet metal pieces. Into the intermediate space, a curable, electrically insulating insulation material as an electric insulator is forced.

Date of Patent: June 26, 2007
    Assignee: Sensoplan Aktiengesellschaft

  • Patent number: 7121718
Abstract: In a method for detecting defects in sheet metal segments of electric generators and motors, wherein between the sheet metal pieces of the sheet metal segment an electric insulating layer is arranged, respectively, and wherein between the sheet metal segments a cooling channel is provided, respectively, magnetic induction is generated within the sheet metal segments by applying externally a magnetic field and the temperature of the heat generated within the sheet metal segment is measured in the cooling channel.

  • Patent number: 6868711
Abstract: In a method for monitoring mechanical wear caused by a first component on a second component, wherein the first and second components are movable relative to one another and wherein the first and second component are at least at times in mechanical contact with one another, at least one sensor head is arranged in a wear area to be monitored of the second component. The at least one sensor head is mechanically worn by the first component upon reaching a predetermined wear limit. When the at least one sensor head is mechanically worn, a measuring signal is generated by the at least one sensor head or a change of a measuring signal, produced by the at least one sensor head prior to having been mechanically worn, is detected.

  • Patent number: 5747699
Abstract: A method for measuring torsional stress and axial stress of a rotating workpiece includes the step of arranging at a surface of the workpiece at least two reflector pairs such that connecting lines between reflectors of each reflector pair are slanted relative to one another. The workpiece is rotated about an axis of rotation. A coherent laser light is impinged onto the at least two reflector pairs to produce reflected and interfering light beam pairs for each one of the reflector pairs. The phase difference between the light beams of each light beam pair is determined and the torsional stress and axial stress are calculated from the phase difference.
