  • Publication number: 20180023734
Abstract: A pipe sleeve adapter that is a universal replacement part that enables a thin-walled pipe to be connected to a pipe sleeve that was designed to receive thick-walled pipe. Pipe sleeve adapter and pipe sleeve have the same nominal dimension, but the outer diameter of the sleeve adapter is smaller than the inner diameter of the pipe sleeve. The sleeve adapter includes a pipe section and an elastically deformable seal that fits around the outer diameter of the pipe section. A stretch device is arranged beneath the seal and has an adjustable height dimension. Increasing the height of the stretch device exerts tension on the seal, which deforms elastically radially outward to an extent defined by the degree of change in height of the stretch device, thereby increasing the outer diameter of the seal to a dimension that corresponds to the inner diameter of the specific pipe sleeve.

  • Patent number: 8128716
Abstract: A method serves for the pyrolysis and gasification of substance mixtures containing organic constituents. The organic substances (4) or the substance mixture containing the organic constituents are brought into contact with a heat transfer medium, for preference the ash (5) from a combustion reactor (2) in a pyrolysis reactor (1), for preference a shaft reactor and pyrolysed. The pyrolysis coke (10) derived from the pyrolysis is combusted in a combustion reactor (2), for preference a fluidised bed reactor, under the admission of air (11). In order to improve such a method, the raw gas (6) generated by the pyrolysis is purified in a crack reactor (3), for preference by a catalyst.

  • Patent number: 7214252
Abstract: An apparatus for pyrolysis and gasification of organic substances and mixtures thereof is provided with a pyrolysis reactor (1), a fluidized-bed firing (3) for pyrolysis residue, a reaction zone (2) for the pyrolysis gases (13) and circulating fluidized-bed material (35). The pyrolysis reactor (1) has a sluice for introducing application material (10) thereinto. An inlet for the fluidized-bed material (35) is disposed next to the combustion fluidized bed (3). Transport apparatus (14) for mixture of solid pyrolysis residue and circulating fluidized bed material (35) is disposed at or near a bottom of the fluidized bed (3) and lower end of the pyrolysis reactor (1). An overflow is situated at or near the top of the fluidized bed (3) while a heat transfer member is positioned within the reaction zone (2).

  • Patent number: 6015169
Abstract: This invention relates to a connecting pipe for a liquid-tight connection to a sewer pipe. The connecting pipe comprises a connecting-pipe body having at least two spaced apart circumferential sealing chambers, where one of the sealing chambers contains a first sealing element comprising a ring seal proximate an inside surface of the sewer pipe and facing an opening-wall surface of the branch opening. The ring seal comprises at least one sealing-lip ring extending over an outer contour of this sealing chamber to contact the opening-wall surface of the branch opening. Another sealing chamber contains a second sealing element comprising a flexible filler proximate an outer surface of the sewer pipe and facing the opening-wall surface of the branch opening, such that a slot chamber extending from this sealing chamber to the opening-wall surface of the branch opening is sealingly bridged.

  • Patent number: 5041714
Abstract: The workpiece processing arrangement, especially for surface hardening, has a laser which radiates a substantially monochromatic beam of rays, a deviating mirror provided with a reflecting layer for the beam arranged in the path of the beam for deviating the beam toward the workpiece, a focussing device for focussing the beam and a radiation detector arranged to detect heat radiation from the workpiece heated by the beam and to supply a signal corresponding to an intensity of the heat radiation, this signal being processed for power regulation of the laser. So that heat radiation from inwardly located surfaces on the workpiece can be easily and accurately detected and used to regulate the laser power, the reflecting layer is provided in a multilayer-interference filter with a blocking region for the beam of rays of the laser and with a permeable region for the heat radiation from the workpiece, and the radiation detector is located in the path of the heat radiation passing through the interference filter.

  • Patent number: 4411148
Abstract: A press brake comprises at least one driven bending tool, which is adapted to cooperate with a second bending tool. In order to provide a great latitude regarding the bending operations to be performed, the driven bending tool is driven by means of a four-bar linkage, which comprises two crank arms, which are rotatably mounted in a frame, and a link, which connects the crank arms and carries the driven bending tool. An adjusting drive is provided which is power-operable to displace the pivot connecting one of said crank arms to the frame or to change the length of one of said crank arms.
