  • Patent number: 6146113
Abstract: A compact hydraulic unit which can be used for cooling an electric motor sufficiently for continuous operation, having an annular cylindrical pressure medium container that has an outer external wall and an inner external wall as well as two end flanges, an electric motor that is sealed and is surrounded by the pressure medium container and cooled by a cooling air stream, and a hydraulic pump driveable by an electric motor. The pressure medium container fits closely around the electric motor and the inner external wall of the pressure medium container serves as a guide means for the cooling air stream flowing over the electric motor. By this, the entire volume of air flowing between the electric motor and the pressure medium container is fully utilized for cooling the electric motor and also flows closely along the housing of the motor over the winding heads of the electric motor that are located remotely from the single fan wheel.

  • Patent number: 4839954
Abstract: A manipulation device, particularly for use with an industrial robot, which has a plurality of double-jaw grippers on a turret base member. The manipulation device includes a suction member for workpiece handling which is arranged on the turret base member parallel to a rotational axis thereof. The individual grippers are attached to the turret base member at a predetermined inclined angle. Additional joining aids are provided on the grippers to prevent buckling of hoses to be mounted on fittings of the workpiece during a slip-on operation. The required amount of hose to be utilized is respectively cut off at an "IR side" of a hose offering unit from hoses stored on hose reels. The end of the hose to be mounted is also widened in a preparatory station. The manipulation device executes all handling and joining operations for mounting a hose onto a corresponding fitting.

  • Patent number: 4777709
Abstract: The insertion of sealing profiles with a programmable manipulation device, particularly with an industrial robot, is served by an apparatus wherein the sealing profile is conductable via a longitudinal guide matched to the profile shape, being conductable immediately under a pressure roller arranged at a distance therefrom, whereby the pressure roller is driven such that no, or only slight tensile stresses arise in the sealing profile upon insertion. With the help of such an apparatus, for example, door seals can be laid in the receptacle bead of dishwasher receptacles whereby curves of the receptacle bead raise no problems as a result of the compensation of the tensile stresses.

  • Patent number: 4605344
Abstract: A device for drilling holes into a stack of plates such as a stack of printed circuit boards, characterized by an arrangement to provide a cover tape beneath a pressure member of a clamping arrangement to be held by the clamping arrangement on the surface of the stack during the drilling operation to prevent damage to the uppermost plate of the stack. The arrangement for providing the tape preferably includes a supply reel, a takeup reel and a feed device and the tape is preferably guided on the pressure member of the clamping arrangement by a guidance groove.

  • Patent number: 4045869
Abstract: A method for producing electrical connector strips which have soldering extensions arranged within an insulating carrier where the strip is formed apart from the insulating carrier and treated with an active deoxidation agent, tinned in the region of the soldering extensions, then placed in the insulating carrier and finally free-cut in such a fashion as to preserve solderability of the extensions.
