  • Publication number: 20040162091
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method of determining a quality measure of a position measurement method for a cellular telecommunication network, the method comprising the steps of: identification of a first measurement area having at least a predefined number of neighbouring first cells, the first measurement area belonging to a selected class of measurement areas, defining of first sub-areas in the first measurement area by applying a predefined grid on the first measurement area, performing position measurements by means of the position measurement method in at least a sub-set of the first sub-areas, determining of measurement errors for the position measurements, determining of the quality measure based on the measurement errors.

  • Patent number: 5452776
Abstract: Rail vehicles have a brake linkage being acted on by a brake cylinder for acting on at least one wheel set of a bogie, truck or running gear of the rail vehicle through brake blocks having brake block shoes and brake block shoe inserts. A block brake for rail vehicles should be economical and be constructed in such a way that higher braking capacities can be achieved, that damage to the tires of the wheels of the wheel set is avoided and that wheel noise of the wheel sets is minimized. The block brake includes at least one rotationally symmetrical brake body being fixedly disposed on a wheel set shaft of the wheel set between the wheel discs of the wheel set. The acted-on brake block rests on an outer surface of the brake body.

  • Patent number: 5195717
Abstract: A device for mounting and fixing the hydraulic unit of an anti-lock system as a carrier for the hydraulic unit includes a bracket which is itself fastenable to the vehicle body. The hydraulic unit is mounted in a vibration-insulating manner by three rubber bearings on the bracket arranged fixedly on the body. These bearings each comprise a bearing journal connected firmly to the housing of the hydraulic unit. A thick-walled rubber sleeve buffer surrounds the bearing journal coaxially. A half-shell-shaped bearing element is fixed to the bracket and supports the respective rubber buffer over a lower 180.degree. region. The half-shell-shaped bearing elements and the shell parts are equipped with catch elements which can be brought into positive engagement with one another.

  • Patent number: 4891837
Abstract: A voice control circuit controls the volume range of the voice signals in a communication terminal, such as a video telephone having a hands-free facility. In a hands-free facility, the signal-to-noise ratio is lower than in telephones with handset. To avoid audible feedback, hands-free facility conventionally includes a volume control circuit which decreases or increases the gain in the receive path as the gain in the set path increases or decreases. The problem to be solved is to utilize the maximum possible loop gain without reducing the gain in the receive path. The idea is to place behind the microphone (50) a controllable compandor (52) in which the signal voltages from the microphone (50) are A. compressed if they lie above a predetermined level, B. expanded if they lie below the predetermined level, and C. imparted maximum gain if they have the predetermined level.
