  • Patent number: 6142578
Abstract: A wheel for an inline skate type roller skate includes a wheel rim portion, a tread surface on the wheel rim portion and at least one ball bearing located entirely within the outer contour of the wheel. Disk-type seals mounted on the inner race of the ball bearing cover the axially outer surfaces of the bearing to protect the bearing against the entry of contaminants. The seals are also located entirely within the outer contour of the wheel.

  • Patent number: 6039328
Abstract: An interchangeable ice skate blade for use with a roller skate boot of the inline skate type includes a plurality of elongate bores or slots and a single circular bore or slot of a comparable size in the region of the edge of the blade remote from the ice-engaging edge. The combination of elongate and circular bores or slots allows the blade to be compatible with roller skate boots having different points of attachment of the blade to the boot while securely retaining the blade against unintended lengthwise or transverse movement relative to the boot.

  • Patent number: 5158759
Abstract: A reversible storage of media, which includes a storage core, an intermediate storage, a catalyst and a protective sheathing. With the opening of the protective sheathing, the stored medium is heated in the catalyst layer, which is caused by the resulting oxygen admission. The storage gets by without any outside heat source, since the binding energy in the intermediate storage is much smaller than that of the main storage, so that the intermediate storage acts as a starter for the reaction. The storage is especially used for heating food including beverages, for heat treating patients in shock and as a quick responding hydrogen storage for release of hydrogen without the input of outside energy.
