  • Patent number: 5775163
Abstract: A transfer arrangement for a multistation press has two parallel gripper rails on a carrier and can be moved, together with the carrier, along a transfer curve. The gripper rails carry gripper fingers which are assigned to one another in pairs and which can be moved toward and away from one another by an oppositely directed movement of the gripper rails. The application movement is generated by parallelogram transmissions which are used for the bearing and for the drive of the gripper rails. The parallelogram transmissions are driven from a single drive source by a cardan shaft which permits the implementation of the transfer movement without any change of the relative position of the gripper fingers with respect to one another. Such a transfer arrangement is arranged on one side of the row formed by the tools and permits good access to the workpieces from the respective other side. As required, the entire transfer arrangement can be removed from the tool area, preferably in a swivel movement.

  • Patent number: 5067892
Abstract: A device for ejecting a workpiece from a die having a two-armed ejector lever, the drive-side arm of which can be driven by driving rods. The ejector-side arm acts upon an ejector slide. The ejector lever is adjustable for changing the ejector lift. In order to integrate the compensation for different ejection lengths into the ejector lever, the working plane on the drive side and the take-off plane on the ejector side are to be arranged in parallel to the adjustability of the ejector lever. On the other hand, the ejector lever must have a different width in the area between the take-off plane and the bearing which supports the ejector lever during the forming, for projections of different lengths at the workpieces. The width is obtained from the distance of the take-off plane in ejector position of the ejector lever from the bearing minus the length of the ejector lift in this position.

  • Patent number: 5065636
Abstract: In the case of a drive for a male-die-side ejector slidably disposed in a slide of a mechanical metal-forming press having an angle lever which is pivotably disposed at the slide, one leg of the lever acting upon the end of the ejector facing way from the male die and the other leg thereof being acted upon by a control cam which is driven in a timed manner and being held in contact with this control cam, a free adjustability of the moving characteristics of the ejector is achieved in that the control cam is provided at a control carriage which is slidable in a guide fixed at the frame in parallel to the moving direction of the slide, and at which a control connecting rod is applied in a bearing, this control connecting rod, at one end, being disposed eccentrically on a shaft serving also as the drive of the slide.

  • Patent number: 5031439
Abstract: A drive for a male-mold-site ejector slidably disposed in a slide of a mechanical metal-forming press has an angle lever pivoted in the slide. One leg of the angle lever act upon the end of the ejector facing away from the male mold and the other leg of the angle lever is in driving connection with a guide rod which is linked to a driving connecting rod for the slide. In a timed manner, the guide rod transmits driving movements to the angle lever. The driving connection is constructed as a link chain, in which the guide rod linked to the driving connecting rod is disposed approximately at a right angle to the moving direction of the slide and the arm of a two-armed lever linked to it extends approximately in parallel to the moving direction of the slide.

  • Patent number: 4295399
Abstract: An apparatus for the intermittent feeding of web-type or strip-type material by means of feed roll into an operating chamber of a press. The feed rolls are driven by a main press drive through a mechanical connection and a feed gear mechanism. A scrap cutter is provided which can be driven in correspondence with the operating cycle of the press. The mechanical connection can be selectively severed or interrupted with an auxiliary drive mechanism being provided which is adapted to be connected to the apparatus. The scrap cutter may be driven by a separate drive mechanism in correspondence with the cycle of the feed gear mechanism.

  • Patent number: 4013003
Abstract: A plurality of toggle drive mechanisms are provided for transferring rotational shaft movement as linear movement of a press ram guidably supported in a press frame. Each of the toggle joint drive mechanisms includes a triangular shaped drive member eccentrically driven by a crankshaft, which drive member is pivotally connected to a pair of respective facing link members, which link members in turn are pivotally attached one each to the press frame and the press ram. The pivotal connection of the link members to the drive members are at corners of the triangle facing away from the smallest acute angle corner of the guide member. In one preferred embodiment, four separate such toggle joint drive mechanisms are provided for a single press ram and are connected by way of lower link members at four respective ram coupling points of the press ram.
