  • Patent number: 10221166
Abstract: The invention relates to a process for the stretching of a starting film web of thermoplastic polymer material, which comprises at least one low-melting polymer component and at least one high-melting polymer component, the process comprising at least the following steps: heating of the starting film web to an at least partly molten state in which the at least one low-melting polymer component exists in a molten liquid state and the at least one high-melting polymer component does not exist in the molten liquid state, by at least one heating roller and cooling down by passing the partly molten film web through a cooled roller nip, the film being stretched between the at least one heating roller and the cooled roller nip. The films produced may be laminated together with a non-woven fabric.

  • Publication number: 20170333264
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for producing nonwoven/film laminates for personal hygiene articles, from an initial film web consisting of a thermoplastic polymer and an initial nonwoven web. According to said method, the initial film web and the initial non woven web, whose melting point lies above the crystallite melting point of the polymer, are heated to a temperature that exceeds the crystallite melting point of the polymer and lies below the melting point of the initial nonwoven web. The laminate is then guided through a cooled nip and is cooled to a temperature that lies below the crystallite melting point of the initial film web. The invention also relates to laminates that can be produced by said method.

  • Patent number: 8163216
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for producing a film web during which an initial film web made of thermoplastic polymer material with a polyethylene matrix, in which 1 to 70 parts by weight of polypropylene, with regard to 100 parts by weight of polyethylene matrix, are contained, is, after being heated, guided through a cooled roll gap (7, 8), whereby the initial film web is heated only until the polymer matrix material melts but not to a temperature at which the polypropylene melts.

  • Patent number: 7837418
Abstract: Twist drill with a drill shaft and a cutting part that extends to a drill tip, with spiral chip flutes along the cutting part that form a drill core, wherein the drill diameter and/or core thickness diminish or taper from the drill tip toward the shaft. The abstract of the disclosure is submitted herewith as required by 37 C.F.R. §1.72(b). As stated in 37 C.F.R. §1.72(b): A brief abstract of the technical disclosure in the specification must commence on a separate sheet, preferably following the claims, under the heading “Abstract of the Disclosure.” The purpose of the abstract is to enable the Patent and Trademark Office and the public generally to determine quickly from a cursory inspection the nature and gist of the technical disclosure. The abstract shall not be used for interpreting the scope of the claims. Therefore, any statements made relating to the abstract are not intended to limit the claims in any manner and should not be interpreted as limiting the claims in any manner.

  • Patent number: 5750920
Abstract: The current invention treats .alpha.-octogene which, with the aid of a new procedure, has been coated with synthetic materials in such a manner that it does not convert into .beta.-octogene at room temperature The coating is done at temperatures between 30.degree. and 60.degree. C. from an aqueous slurry; this causes granulates to form which can be heated to temperatures of 100.degree. C. without a rearrangement to .beta.-octogene to occur; even a grain growth does not take place. The granulates according to the invention are pourable and can be easily dosaged. .beta.-octogene can be coated in the same manner, particularly if it is coated as very fine grain of less than 50 .mu.m according to the invention. Thus, the current invention includes also the particularly fine .beta.-octogene, coated according to the current procedure, which shows the same properties as the required .alpha.-octogene.
