Abstract: Sheet transfer drum mounted between printing units within side walls of a rotary printing press includes two gripper bars arranged symmetrically on a circumference of the sheet transfer drum so as to be located diametrically opposite one another on a y-axis of the sheet transfer drum; a drum body core formed with side surfaces extending between the gripper bars over the entire length of the sheet transfer drum within the circumference of the sheet transfer drum and having a convex curvature with a curvature gradient which is largest in the region of the x-axis and diminishes continuously towards the gripper bars.

Abstract: Device for contactless guidance of sheetlike material being dragged along a travel path, the device having a guide surface member extending spaced from the travel path and being provided with air-blowing nozzles, includes a guide zone formed in the guide surface member wherein the air-blowing nozzles are disposed in a manner that a common flow pattern or gap flow formed during guidance of the sheetlike material is determined essentially by a first velocity component in a direction of motion of the material along the travel path and by a second and a third velocity component directed towards two side edges, respectively, of the travel path, the second velocity component being associated with one of the side edges and the third velocity component being associated with the other of the side edge.

Abstract: Method for guiding a sheet in vicinity of a sheet slow-down device of a sheet-processing machine. The sheet is gripped at a leading edge thereof with of a gripper system and the sheet is transported in a sheet-transport direction along a sheet travel path. The sheet has a defined region with which the sheet comes into contact with a sheet slow-down device for subsequently forming a sheet pile, and directing the sheet, in the vicinity of the sheet slow-down device, into a range of influence of a flotation guide produced along a guiding surface member by an air flow. The flotation guide, without taking into account the influence of the sheet slow-down device, is effective for bringing the sheet to a normal flotation level located above the guiding surface member. The sheet is supplied to the sheet slow-down device at a height level above the normal flotation level in order to form sheet-stabilizing vacuum forces resulting from the air flow. There is also disclosed a device for performing the method.

Abstract: A guide device for moving sheet material in printing presses, which by means of blown air, presses the sheet material flat against the cylindrical surface of a transporting drum or a cylinder, essentially without any contact between the sheet material and the guide device. The guide device can have a guide plate which generates a stream of blown air in the direction opposite to the direction of travel of the moving sheet material.

Abstract: The process for the working-up of effluents and disposal of the loads, present therein, by a combination of concentration by membrane filtration, evaporation and gas phase oxidation, is particularly viable economically because the concentrates to be incinerated have a very low salt content.

Abstract: It is known to produce effervescent tablets incorporating salicyl acid analgetics gained synthetically, and, is required, vitamin adjuvants. In order to avoid the disadvantages of synthetically manufactured salicyl acid in such effervescent tablets, namely the irritation of the gastric mucosas and the inhibition of thrombocyte aggregation, and simultaneously to bring about new fields of use for effervescent tablets, an effervescent tablet is suggested which has, as an analgesic agent forming salicyclic acid, a water-soluble plant extract of the salicis extract type (willow bark extract) with a high active substance content. Thus, a galenically appropriate administration form of these generally extremely hygroscopic extracts is obtained. In the effervescent tablet, high active substance quantities can be resorbed rapidly, the salicyl acid forming the final active substance only being formed in the liver.

Abstract: The reduction of azoxybenzene, azobenzenes and mixtures of azoxybenzenes and azobenzene to the hydrazobenzenes is possible under mild conditions, with high yields and without any great excess of reducing agents in the presence of raney-nickel and compounds which have an alkaline action with hydrogen or hydrazine hydrate.

Abstract: Fabrics of preferrably polyester fibres can be printed in deep yellow colors with good fastness properties if dyestuffs of the formula ##STR1## wherein X denotes hydrogen, chlorine, methyl, nitro, CF.sub.3 or cyano,Y denotes methyl, methoxy, nitro or chlorine or cyano andZ denotes hydrogen, methyl, chlorine or cyano,R.sub.1 /R.sub.2 representing hydrogen, chlorine, methyl or methoxy, with the proviso that R.sub.1 and/or R.sub.2 denote chlorine, methyl or methoxy if X represents a nitro group,are used according to the transfer printing principle.

Abstract: Azo pigments which are free from groups which confer solubility in water and correspond to the formula ##STR1## wherein A represents the radical of a diazo component, X represents a hydroxy, cyanamino, ureido, acylamino or guanidino group and Y and Z independently of one another denote a hydroxyl group or an optionally substituted amino group with the proviso that at most 2 of the 3 radicals X, Y and Z represent a hydroxyl group, are suitable for pigmenting lacquers, for the preparation of printing inks, distempers or paints containing binders and for the bulk dyeing of synthetic, semi-synthetic or natural macromolecular substances.
