  • Publication number: 20080271478
Abstract: The invention relates to a cooling system comprising an essentially flat evaporator consisting of individual evaporation plates (3a). Each evaporation plate comprises two high-grade steel plates (9 and 10) of different thicknesses, that are assembled by means of welding points (6) and welding seams (8). A channel (14) is formed between the high-grade steel plates (9 and 10), through which a coolant flows. Preferably, the evaporator forms part of the inner housing of a refrigerating appliance. The evaporator is produced by welding the plates (9 and 10) together. Compressed air is then blown between the plates (9 and 10), whereby the thinner of the two plates (9,10) is curved in such a way the channel (14) is created for the coolant.

  • Patent number: 6386571
Abstract: A side strut (5) for a lower steering arm of a tractor has a single-action hydraulic cylinder and a setting unit with a hollow cylinder (17) and an adjustable setting element 20. The setting element (20) includes a threaded bore (30) which receives a threaded rod (32). The hydraulic cylinder has a first attaching element (6) to connect to a tractor. The threaded rod (32) has a second attaching element (7) to connect a lower steering arm. In the fully moved-out position of the hydraulic cylinder, the setting element (20) is rotatable by an actuating lever (33). Thus, the threaded rod (32) moves in and out. To prevent any rotation, a first holding element (36) is provided. The actuating lever (33) engages the holding element in a rest position.

  • Patent number: 6086674
Abstract: An apparatus for applying magnetic dispersions to nonmagnetic substrates is optimized by means of an attracting magnet which is opposite the application slot of an extrusion coater and is covered with a soft iron strip in an angular manner. The leading edge of the soft iron strip is arranged virtually opposite the application slot. A curved guide element in front of the soft iron strip improves the gliding behavior of the substrate during application.

  • Patent number: 5784969
Abstract: A process and device for controlling the inclination of rail vehicle boxes in a railway vehicle, the rail vehicle boxes sitting on spring-suspended bogies with at least one pair of wheels which can be pivoted about the longitudinal axis. The centrifugal acceleration in the horizontal plane is determined and a setpoint is calculated for the absolute inclination of the box relative to the earth. An actual value of the absolute inclination of the box relative to the earth is determined and at least one control signal is formed from the difference between the setpoint and the actual value of the absolute inclination of the box. The angle between the bogie and the box is adjusted across the direction of travel as a function of the control signal thus formed. This makes it possible to control the inclination of the box independently of the type of track banking design and any possible interference.

  • Patent number: 4961482
Abstract: In an illustrative example, an oscillation damper for damping the steering movement of the handle bar of a motorcycle comprises a cylinder and a piston rod axially movable with respect to the cylinder. A damping piston is provided at the inner end of the piston rod and divides the cavity within the cylinder into two working chambers. These working chambers are interconnected by at least one axial bore through the piston. Valve discs are provided on both axial end faces of the piston. These valve discs are fixed to the piston in their respective central areas. Circumferential areas of the valve discs define circumferential gaps with the respective end faces. In response to the velocity of axial relative movement of the piston rod with respect to the cylinder the circumferential areas of respective valve discs are approached to the respective end faces. So the damping resistance is increased.
