  • Patent number: 6802802
Abstract: A carrier for beverage containers formed of a sheet material such as plastic or paperboard which includes a bottom panel attached to side panels, a pair of opposed end panels connected to the bottom and side panels, and a central handle formed of two halves folded together in a first position for ease in carrying. The handle is pivotal to an open position along its top fold line, allowing the carrier to spread outwardly to form a central cavity capable of holding ice for the purpose of cooling the beverage containers. The top panels are provided with a plurality of openings, for example, six or eight, each of which is adapted to receive a beverage container. The method for forming the beverage container is disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20030213705
Abstract: A carrier for beverage containers formed of a sheet material such as plastic or paperboard which includes a bottom panel attached on opposite lateral sides to side panels, a pair of opposed end panels connected at their lower peripheries to the bottom and side panels, and a central handle which is formed of two halves folded together in a first position for ease in carrying and the handle is pivotal to an open position along its top fold line, allowing the carrier to spread outwardly to form a central cavity capable of holding ice for the purpose of cooling the beverage containers. Each end panel is also provided with folded panels that enable the outwardly opened carrier to be capable of providing a tray that holds ice and resultant water after melting of the ice. The folding panels are integrally connected to the peripheries of one of the side panels. The top panels are provided with a plurality of openings, for example, six or eight, each of which is adapted to receive a beverage container.

  • Patent number: 6360558
Abstract: A carrier for beverage containers formed of a sheet material such as paperboard includes a bottom panel attached on opposite lateral sides to outwardly sloping lower side panels, a pair of opposed end panels connected at their lower peripheries to the bottom and side panels, a pair of upper side panels each integrally connected to the upper periphery of one of said lower side panels. The upper side panels are provided with a plurality of openings, for example, six, each of which is adapted to receive a beverage container. The upper side panels are also integrally connected at their ends to the end panels and to a top panel which is integrally connected on its sides to the upper edges of the upper side panels and to the end panels. The top panel is provided with openings for access to the central interior of the carrier which allows for filling the carrier interior with ice. The top panel is preferably provided with a raised central portion which serves as a carrying handle for the carrier.

  • Patent number: 5788160
Abstract: An adaptor for a shower includes a valve component having a threaded end for connection to a shower pipe and a first nipple for connection to a showerhead. A second nipple is provided for attachment thereto of a sauna-simulating steam/hot water mist. A diverter valve controls the flow alternatively between the showerhead and the steam spray attachment. The steam spray attachment includes a screen having openings of approximately 25 to 75 microns for breaking down a stream of flowing water into a steam-like mist of fine droplets and water vapor. The broken down stream of water is then sprayed through a nozzle opening, preferably providing a fan-shaped spray. The nozzle opening is of the size to accommodate a flow of about 0.2 to 0.4 gallons per minute.

  • Patent number: 5401005
Abstract: An improved cell for removal of silver ions from a liquid such as used photographic fixer includes a container having enclosed side and bottom walls. Fluid flow inlets and outlets for the flow of a liquid into and out of said cell are provided at opposite ends of the container. A layer of iron-containing material is positioned between the inlet and the outlet, and a layer of pellets, preferably spherical, having a density greater than water, is positioned above the layer of iron-containing material so that the iron-containing material is continuously compressed by the weight of the pellets, thereby avoiding formation of voids in the material as it is consumed.
