  • Publication number: 20100281130
Abstract: The goal of the present invention is to improve the useful data efficiency and reliability in the use of commercially available ETHERNET controllers, in a distributed real time computer system, by a number of node computers communicating via one or more communication channels by means of TT ETHERNET messages. To achieve this goal, a distinction is made between the node computer send time (KNSZPKT) and the network send time (NWSZPKT) of a message. The KNSZPKT must wait for the NWSZPKT, so that under all circumstances, the start of the message has arrived in the TT star coupler at the NWSZPKT, interpreted by the clock in the TT star coupler. The TT star coupler is modified, so that a message arriving from a node computer is delayed in an intelligent port of the TT star coupler until the NWSZPKT can send it precisely at the NWSZPKT into the TT network.

  • Publication number: 20090214937
Abstract: The invention relates to a vehicle battery arrangement comprising sensors and an electronic sensor system, by which means the charging and operating state of the vehicle battery is monitored. Said vehicle battery arrangement comprises a heat insulating box (1) provided with a cover (9). The sensors, electronic sensor system and other electronic components for data processing and storage are split between two thermally coupled electronic modules. A first electronic module is connected to the battery in a mechanically fixed manner as a battery module (6), and the second electronic module is connected to the cover (9) of the heat insulating box (1) in a mechanically fixed manner as a cover module (12), the two modules being interconnected for data transmission preferably by means of a power line communication.

  • Patent number: 7124316
Abstract: Method of dealing with faults in a fault-tolerant distributed computer system, as well as such a system, with a plurality of node computers (K1 . . . K4) which are connected by means of communication channels (c11 . . . c42) and access to the channels takes place according to a cyclic time slicing method. Messages leaving node computers (K1 . . . K4) are checked by independently formed guardians (GUA) which convert a message burdened with an SOS (“slightly off specification”) fault either into a correct message or into a message which can be recognised by all node computers as clearly incorrect.

  • Patent number: 5534556
Abstract: A process for the separation of laminated components from polyurethane adhesive bonded composite laminates is provided. In this process, the laminates are treated with monofunctional aliphatic alcohols with 3 to 12 carbon atoms or mixtures thereof at temperatures of 100.degree. C. to 200.degree. C. to alcoholize the polyurethane. If necessary, water is added to the process. The alcoholysis product is removed and the components are separated from each other. This process is particularly useful in separating fabric components from expanded porous polytetrafluoroethylene membrane.

  • Patent number: 5117096
Abstract: A system for the control and monitoring of the distribution of goods. A first unit is mounted with the goods to be transported, specifically a control and monitoring unit in which freight-specific data are stored and in which sensors are also provided which sense the momentary condition of the distribution process and write it into corresponding memories. Access to the control and monitoring units takes place by way of a normal interface by means of an active memory card which, in turn, can be connected with an analysis unit by means of which a log of the distribution process can be established.

  • Patent number: 4845934
Abstract: A false twisted bulky synthetic multifilament yarn of a uniform polymer consisting of at least two filament bundles of different filament deniers, with the filaments in each of said bundles having the same denier per filament. The smaller denier per filament is less than 1 dtex, and the total denier of the texturized yarn is in excess of 100 times the finer filament denier. For the production of such a multifilament yarn, the draw ratios of both filament bundles are chosen such that the difference between both draw ratios is smaller than 0.1, and both bundles are drawtexturized simultaneously at a draw ratio corresponding to the draw ratio of the filament bundle having the coarser denier per filament. Preferred end uses of the yarn are water-repellent fabrics, dust proof fabrics, and the conductive component of sports wear.

  • Patent number: 4383329
Abstract: Apparatus for recording data on X-ray films which are stored in cassettes having windows for exposure of certain portions of films therein includes a housing with two slots for insertion of cards with information pertaining to the patient and/or physician. The housing confines a battery of liquid crystals and an associated digital clock, digital calendar and digital counter each adapted to be actuated from the exterior of the housing to cause the corresponding liquid crystals to furnish the selected information. Such information, together with information on one of the cards, is imaged onto the exposed portion of X-ray film in the properly inserted cassette by a partly light transmitting mirror and an optical element.

  • Patent number: 4302929
Abstract: The invention provides a voluminous, false twist texturized filament yarn having a great number of individual protruding filament ends; the filaments forming the filament yarn being of the same polyester raw material. The strength of such filament yarns must be of from 1.3 and 1.7 cN/dtex at a clamping length of 5 cm, and at a clamping length of 200 cm of less than 75% of the strength at 5 cm of clamping length, at least however of 0.8 cN/dtex, and the unevenness of the yarn must be less than 3 Uster %.These filament yarns can be processed to web-like structures which correspond to webs made from staple fiber yarns obtained by secondary spinning with respect to their textile properties, their handle, drape and appearance, and which furthermore are distinguished by their low pilling.

  • Patent number: 4300344
Abstract: Multifilament feed yarns in drawable state made from fiber-forming polyester are provided which in accordance with the invention can be processed in a combined draw and false twist process to voluminous filament yarns having individual protruding filament ends. The feed yarns must consist at least in part of filaments having a flex abrasion resistance of less than 1500 cycles and a crack index of more than 5. By using suitable spin finishes, the crack index can be varied and thus the hairiness of the voluminous filament yarns manufactured can be adjusted independently from the crimp values and the pilling behavior.

  • Patent number: 3987614
Abstract: Object of the invention is a voluminous filament yarn of three-dimensionally curled filaments without loops, coils or whorls having a positive value of residual crimp c.sub.3, with several loose filament ends sticking out and at least said ends having a flex abrasion resistance of less than about 1500 cycles. The obtained yarn excels in the uniformity of its characteristics all over the yarn length, its high crimp elongation and recovery from stretch and can be worked up to fabrics having an extremely low tendency to pilling.
