  • Patent number: 8539915
Abstract: A cooling system for motor vehicle with a cooling circuit, which includes one or more internal combustion engines, a pump and a cooling device, is described herein. The cooling system includes a short circuit line, which bypasses the pump by connecting a pressure side of the pump to an intake side of the pump. The cooling system further includes a valve device in the region of the short circuit line, and the valve device is switched between two or more positions. When the valve is in the first position, the entire coolant flow is directed through the short circuit line. Further, when the valve is in the second position, the entire coolant flow is directed through the internal combustion engine and not through the short circuit line.

  • Patent number: 8469671
Abstract: The invention relates to closed impellers (1) for centrifugal pumps used for conveying homogeneous liquids, especially in cooling systems of motor vehicles. The aim of the invention is to develop a novel design of closed impellers (1) for centrifugal pumps used for conveying homogeneous liquids, especially in coolant pumps, such that closed impellers comprising single-curved blades (3) as well as closed impellers comprising three-dimensionally curved blades (3) can be produced at a low cost while the effect of cavitation wear is minimized on the parts/subassemblies that are mounted downstream of the impeller and the hydraulic efficiency as well as the suction behavior of the respective impeller design is significantly improved.

  • Patent number: 8439650
Abstract: A flow-controllable cell pump having a bearing element that may be positioned in a receiving shell of a pump housing such that the receiving shell may assume an operational connection with at least one of a bearing element, a pump chamber positioned between an inner rotor and a control slide valve. An outer rotor may be configured in the control slide valve, and suction kidneys may be arranged on both sides of the pump chambers in the pump housing. At least one pressure kidney may be offset on both sides of the pump chambers in the pump housing. The pressure kidney may be connected with a pressure connection socket, with a control slide valve arm configured on the control slide valve.
