Abstract: The invention relates to a process and a device for cutting label sleeves off from a flat tubular label belt, unfolding and attaching the tubular label sleeves to objects, whereby a flat label sleeve is, no later than immediately after the cutting off of the tubular label belt, grasped on one side, transported continuously away, in a regular manner, by a cutting device while likewise grasped on the opposite side for a short time, in a non-uniform manner relative to the other side, transported in the same direction, and is, after that, opened by means of a lateral expansion of distance of both of the flat sides.

Abstract: The invention relates to a device for placing label sleeves (2) onto containers (1) such as bottles or similar items by means of an apertured pusher (4), which is positioned coaxially with respect to a container which carries a partially positioned label sleeve, and which can be moved forward and backward axially with respect to the longitudinal axis of the container, in a controlled manner, and whose internal diameter is at least slightly smaller than the diameter of the label sleeve (2), where, coaxially with respect to the apertured pusher (4), a second pusher (5) is provided internally, which is led in a manner so it can be moved axially with respect to the first apertured pusher (4).

Abstract: The invention relates to a process and a device for removing shrinking casings or encircling labels from containers, particularly bottles, glasses, cans, or the like, in which, first of all, a separating line which proceeds essentially transversely to the direction of circumference is produced and the shrinking casing or the encircling label is then removed by means of a fluid stream which is directed against the container. During the removal of an encircling label or of a shrinking casing which has been cut through, the containers are preferably held, in a bottom-free manner, near the area of the head, and at least one fluid stream is directed, in an angular manner, from above, essentially axially to the wall of the container, against the container, and preferably above the upper edge of the shrinking casing or of the encircling label.
