  • Patent number: 5560584
Abstract: A safety filling device for filling a liquid anesthetic into a filling space of an anesthetic evaporator from a storage container by means of a filling adapter, which can be pushed into an insertion opening, with a closing element, which interrupts the flow of liquid anesthetic in a switched-off position, and with a control element, which is movable in a stationary housing and sets the states of switching. A preferential position is set on the closing element during the introduction of the filling adapter into the insertion opening. A follower blocking the switched-off position is provided on the closing element between the housing and the control element, and a coding part, which engages the follower in a manner eliminating the blocking of the closing element in the operating position of the filling adapter, is provided on the filling adapter.

  • Patent number: 5490500
Abstract: An anesthetic evaporator according to the bypass principle, in which a carrier gas system is partially led through an evaporation chamber, is enriched with an anesthetic vapor to saturation there, and is again fed into the bypass flow. The function of the elements that influence the metering are not impaired by the penetration of anesthetic in an unintentional position other than the position intended for operation, and that the anesthetic located in the mixed gas outlet is not influenced by anesthetic located outside the evaporation chamber. Either the evaporation chamber line leading to the evaporation chamber or the return line leading from the evaporation chamber to the flow regulating valve opens into an intermediate container, from which a channel communicates with the interior of the evaporation chamber.

  • Patent number: 4312331
Abstract: A reanimation table for newborn infants comprises a base member having a top lying surface for receiving the infant and a block shape base member at one end of the lying surface. The block shape base member forms a support for pivotally supporting an outer support wall which may be made in one or two separately pivotal upright side surface forming members which are pivotally mounted adjacent each end of the block member. Support wall surfaces may be positioned in a horizontal position overlying the lying surface to confine the infant therein and provide a guide surface for it or the support surface or any portion thereof may be pivoted to an upright position extending out of the way of the lying surface for the infant. The construction also includes a U-shaped support yoke for mounting an electric radiation heater on a top cross leg or support web of the yoke in a position such that the heater extends outwardly over the lying surface.
